Chapter 260
XENOIS
Zade nodded in agreement at my words as he added.
“Alpha Xenois is right, this is not the right time or place to be exercising racism, simply because you see them as unnatural, to their eyes we are the unnatural ones, yet they have set aside their hatred to work with us.All help is welcome. We can sort out pack politics after we’ve dealt with the immediate threat.”
We moved inside as a group, heading inside Alpha Zade’s mansion that had been converted into a command center, with maps spread across tables, communication equipment humming softly, and multiple screens displaying various surveillance feeds.
“Before we start planning,” Zade announced, “everyone needs to see the footage we recovered from the hospital attack. It’s important that you understand exactly what we’re dealing with.”
He activated the main display screen, and suddenly we were all watching Riley and Ollie’s last normal moment together-sitting on Dr. Sloane’s balcony, the therapy session proceeding peacefully. Then the lights went out, and everything changed.
I heard my mother gasp when Riley’s impossible talents became apparent, watching him assess threats and plan escape routes with the precision of someone much older and more experienced.
Beside me, Lumina tensed as we watched our five-year-old son execute moves that would have impressed military specialists.
**Jesus Christ,” Kyle muttered from across the room. “How the hell does a kindergartener know how to do that?”
“Training, Marcus answered grimly.
“The kind that breaks children down and rebuilds them as weapons. We know that Andy and Sophia were running that kind of operation for a long time, where survival was by elimination and children not strong enough died from it, in hundreds leaving room for only the best, ruthless and cold children soldiers, but seeing it…”
The footage continued, showing Riley’s desperate flight through the hospital with Ollie, their escape to the rooftop, and the
confrontation with Bullet.
When Riley knocked Ollie unconscious to remove him from immediate danger, I could see the calculated decision-making that spoke to programming none of us had fully understood.
Then came the moment that made everyone in the room go silent.
The gunshots rang out three of them in rapid succession. But instead of falling, Riley seemed to blur into motion that the camera could barely track. Something large and snarling entered the frame, and Bullet’s scream of terror was clearly audible as both figures disappeared from view.

“Did he shift?” Shawn asked in amazement, his young voice cutting through the stunned silence. “That kid actually shifted?”
“Impossible,” Samuel said immediately.
“Riley’s only five years old. Premature shifting doesn’t happen before age seven at the earliest, and even then it’s incredibly rare.”
“But what else could explain what we just saw?” Silvia asked, leaning forward to study the screen more carefully. “That looked like a
werewolf transformation to me.”
“Ollie had done something like this before, red eyes, claws and fangs, that rainy night, Zade took us from Silver Creek. Ollie didn’t understand why we were leaving without his father and had attacked Zade, drawing blood, but that shift alone really broke down Ollie’s body as his body was not ready for that kind of shift, but seeing Riley shift into it, quickly…makes me wonder just what pain he
underwent to force it out from him.”

Zade replayed the crucial seconds in slow motion, but the camera angle and poor lighting made it impossible to see clearly what had
actually happened.
Whatever had attacked Bullet moved with inhuman speed and strength, but the exact nature of the transformation remained unclear.
“There’s more,” Zade announced, switching to interior hospital footage.
“This shows what happened to Lyn during the attack.”
We watched Lumina fighting for her life against the nightwalker, her movements fluid and deadly despite the creature’s supernatural advantages. But what shocked everyone was the footage of Lyn during the battle – reaching out with his abilities to manipulate gravity itself, making the nightwalker float helplessly in the air.
“Gravity manipulation?” Carol stared at the screen in astonishment. “I had no idea Lyn could do that.”
“He usually keeps it hidden,” Lynn explained. “The power drain is enormous, and it doesn’t exactly fit with his image as a healer. Most people assume he’s just exceptionally good at medical magic.”
The footage showed Lyn collapsing after using his abilities, the effort clearly too much for him to sustain. But what came next was even more disturbing – a small figure appearing on screen, child-like but moving with a purpose. The figure approached Lyn’s unconscious form and seemed to fold space around them both, transporting him away through means that defied logics.
“That’s how they took him,” I realized with growing dread. “They have another child with space manipulation abilities.”
“Andy’s operation is much bigger than we thought, Marcus observed quietly. “She’s not just trafficking children – she’s specifically collecting ones with rare supernatural abilities and training them as weapons.”
The implications hit the room like a physical weight. If Andy had multiple children with various supernatural powers, all trained and conditioned to obey her without question, then we weren’t just facing a criminal organization. We were facing an army of child soldiers with abilities that could challenge even the most powerful supernatural beings.

“The message she sent,” I said, turning to Zade. “You said it was written in Lyn’s blood. What exactly did it say?”
Zade’s expression darkened as he pulled out the blood-stained paper. “She’s giving us forty-eight hours to surrender ourselves at coordinates she provided. No backup, no clever plans, just the three of us walking into what she openly admits we won’t walk out of.”
“It’s not just a trap, Rivers observed. “It’s a duel. She’s challenging us to face her directly.”
“Which means she’s confident she can win,” Thorn added grimly. “Either she has more resources than we know about, or she’s planning something that makes our numerical advantages irrelevant.”
I studied the faces around me – werewolves, half-bloods, witches, and humans all united by the desire to stop a woman who turned children into weapons. We had power, experience, and determination on our side…
But Andy had something potentially more dangerous – desperate cunning and absolutely nothing left to lose.
