The music thundered through the auditorium, each beat crashing harder than the last, building toward its peak like an avalanche gaining speed.

Noelle soared into a highimpact backflip. In midair, she twisted into a sharp 720degree spin. She landed in perfect balance. One knee down. One hand braced against the floor. The other pointed at the rafters.

The final drumbeat dropped like a wrecking ball.

Silence crushed the room.

No one moved. No one breathed.

Then, like a dam snapping open, the entire auditorium erupted. Applause slammed into the air like a wave. Screams, cheers, and whistles collided as if the roof couldn’t hold the sound in.

The entire audience leapt to their feet. Hands clapped until they stung. Their faces were lit with shock and pure adrenaline.

Noelle! Noelle! Noelle! The chant picked up fast, growing into a pounding rhythm of her name.

Noelle remained calm. She simply tilted her chin, giving a faint nod toward the crowd.

She hadn’t lied to Eleanor or the rest of them. Soft, graceful dance wasn’t her thing. But bodywork? Combat rhythm? Those, she could do in her sleep.

She’s unreal! Oh my gosh, she’s the coolest person I’ve ever seen!

From the premed section, Eleanor and the girls were already shouting themselves hoarse.

Noelle had blown them away. They were nearly in tears.

Over on the finance side, Viola glared at Noelle like she was trying to set her on fire with her eyes. She had no idea Noelle could do something like that.

Unbelievable.

She had planned this whole thing to humiliate her. And yet somehow, Noelle had stolen the show. But Viola didn’t panic. Not yet. The best part was still coming.

Onstage, Noelle turned to step down.

Her foot had barely moved when a sharp metallic crack snapped through the air from high above.

The sound wasn’t loud. But it tore through the cheers like a razor.

A splitsecond later, a deep, explosive thud tore through the auditorium.

Noelle’s head snapped up. A massive ceiling panel broke loose from the rafters, dragging steel wires and clouds of dust with it as it fell straight toward her.

The stage buckled with the impact. Shards of metal and splinters of wood flew in all directions.

Chapter 291 Good Show

People screamed. The sound came all at once, sharp and panicked.

Everything stopped for a second.

Then chaos surged forward like a tidal wave.

What was that?!

Did something fall?!

Did it hit anyone? Where’s Noelle?!

Every official seated up front scrambled to their feet.

The president and his staff stared at the wreckage in horror.

Noelle had been right there. She’d been standing exactly in that spot.

Noelle!

Eleanor and Quinna leapt up. Their voices cracked with fear.

Viola’s lips twitched into a smile. With a collapse that violent, there was no way Noelle could’ve made it out alive.

Perfect.

But just as that thought passed through her mind, the dust began to settle.

And her grin vanished. Noelle knelt a few feet away from the debris. Not a scratch on her. She had dodged it. Clean.

Viola’s eyes widened. Her hands clenched at her sides. The frustration and rage behind her eyes burned hotter than ever. Why’s the witch alive?

Up front, the officials were practically in tears. When they saw Noelle safe, they finally let out the breath they’d all been holding.

Noelle! You scared me half to death!Eleanor ran straight to her and grabbed her into a hug.

Noelle smiled softly. She reached up and touched Eleanor’s cheek. I’m all right. Really.

Quinna stared at the stage, her expression cold and sharp. Why would the ceiling suddenly collapse like that? It doesn’t make

sense.

President! Sir!One of the instructors stumbled forward, pale and shaking. We inspected everything before the performance! The equipment’s old, yes, but not that unstable!

Then how did it fall?!The president’s voice shook with anger. No one got hurt, thank heaven, but what if they had?! How would we explain this?!

Noelle’s voice cut through the noise. I think someone did this on purpose.

Quinna didn’t hesitate. President, Noelle wasn’t supposed to perform tonight. Her name was added last minute. And then right after she finishes, this happens.

The president’s face tightened. He waved the host over. The host ran forward, flustered. They’re right! Noelle wasn’t on the list
