Chapter 58 The Auction Whisper
“So you figured it out that fast. Hmph. That takes all the fun out of it.”
Serena clicked her tongue.
When Noelle heard that Wanderroot really had been found, she couldn’t hide her excitement.
“Where is it?”

“There’s an auction in Kingstowne,” Serena said. “Word is that Wanderroot might be up for sale. Just a possibility, not a sure thing. But rumors don’t come from nowhere. I’d say there’s a good chance it’ll show up.”
Noelle tightened her grip on her phone. Her eyes lit up.
She finally received the news about the Wanderroot.
“I called to tell you the good news,” Serena continued. “And to ask if you want to come to Kingstowne and see for yourself. If you’re busy, that’s fine. I can check it out for you.”
Of course, Noelle wanted to go. Wanderroot mattered too much to her. She had to see it with her own eyes. Only one problem remained: how was she going to explain this to Sebastian?
“Sebastian, do you know the Kingstowne underground auction is about to start?” Lucas called, sounding fired up. “One of the items is a Soulstone!”
“One of the items might be a soulstone! That thing is incredible. It helps calm the mind and improves sleep. You’ve always had trouble sleeping. This would be huge for you!”
“A soulstone?”
Sebastian repeated the word slowly. His brows drew together.
He was a man walking close to the end of his life, and his body was already broken. A soulstone no longer meant much to him. But it could help him.
With a soulstone, that person’s condition might improve.
“Has the auction date been confirmed?” Sebastian asked.
“Yes! This Saturday!” Lucas said, fired up. “We’ll head over Friday night, stay one night, then attend the auction on Saturday. I’m getting that soulstone for you, no matter what! Oh–and ask Noelle if she wants to come too. The more, the merrier. It’ll be good for her to see the world. She’s never been to Kingstowne, right?”
Sebastian said, “I’ll ask if she wants to go.”
“I want to go!”
Noelle agreed right away.

It felt like making a wish, and the universe granted it right away.

“See? I told you Noelle would say yes,” Lucas laughed. “Once we’re in Kingstowne, I’ll show you around. No one knows that place better than me.”
“Thank you so much, Mr. Lucas,” Noelle said with a grin.
After that, she sent Serena a message.
“Serena, I’m coming to Kingstowne.”
Soon, the group set off for Kingstowne.
At the same time, over on Roman’s side, he is still searching for Noelle in the night market.
But no matter how hard they looked, she was nowhere to be found.
“Mr. Haller, we’ve done everything we can to find Dr. Kain,” Felix said helplessly. “But she never showed up. We can’t locate her. Maybe you should head back to Kingstowne first. The auction is about to begin. It’s a must for you to be there as the host.”
“Maybe we can’t find her here,” he added carefully, “but run into her in Kingstowne instead?”
“If we can’t find her here,” Roman snapped, “why would we find her in Kingstowne?” His mind was full of Noelle. He had no interest in the auction at all. “Leave the auction to someone else. I’m not going back. You all stay in Riverdale and keep looking for Dr. Kain.”
Felix agreed helplessly, “Yes, Mr. Haller.”
Kingstowne.
After a three–hour flight, the plane landed. A private car was already waiting to take Noelle and the others to the villa.
Sebastian owned property in Kingstowne as well, so they went straight there by car.
The villa was in the city center, very close to the airport. It took only twenty minutes to arrive.
“We’ll rest tonight,” Sebastian said gently as he looked at Noelle. “Tomorrow I’ll take you around Kingstowne. The auction doesn’t start until the evening.”
“Okay,” Noelle replied with a smile.
A servant carried Noelle’s suitcase and led her inside. “Mrs. Menzie, this is your room.”
Noelle stepped in and froze slightly. The room looked almost exactly the same as the one she had in Riverdale.
She was surprised.
Noelle hadn’t expected it to be so similar.
