“I can call him, sure. But since we’re already bringing up the dowry, let’s put it on the table.

Don’t you think maybe Damien hasn’t mentioned marriage yet ‘cause he’s waiting to see what

kind of dowry we’re offering? I mean, just because the Taylor family is loaded doesn’t mean

they don’t care about the proper customs. We should at least show some sincerity, right, Dad?” Amelia sighed, playing the victim card hard.

Realizing she’d overstepped, Grace didn’t even bother trying to stay. She quietly slipped out of
