Reborn Second Chance With The Scheming Tycoon novel Chapter 98

Chapter 89 Recreate it

Amelia Johnson gave Ethan Collins a grin, her tone playful. “Well, I’m just a clueless country girl who’s never seen much of the world. Isn’t that why I’m tagging along with you guys today?”

Her smile was oddly soothing, and Ethan’s mood noticeably lifted – weird, but kind of sweet.

Sabrina Johnson instantly caught the shift in Ethan’s expression and bit her lower lip. “Ethan, can you come up on stage with me to accept the award?”

Amelia looked disappointed. “Wait, why him? What about me?”

“Come on, sis. This is a big moment for me. I don’t want you ruining it,” Sabrina said, her tone laced with frustration. Truth was, she never intended to bring Amelia up there; she’d only mentioned it earlier to flex a little in front of her.

Amelia was just too stunning – Sabrina didn’t want her stealing the spotlight.

“But I want to go.” Amelia tugged on Ethan’s arm and pleaded, “Ethan, talk to her for me, will you? I promise I won’t say a word. I’ll just stand quietly.”

Ethan frowned. “Let go.”

Amelia shook her head. “Say yes first.”

“You’re wrinkling my jacket,” he said, clearly annoyed.

She let go immediately. “I really want to go on stage with Sabrina. Please, let me take your spot.”

He sounded distant. “That’s not my call to make.”

Amelia turned to her sister, gently grabbing her hand. “Sabrina, can you just think about it one more time?”

Sabrina patted her sister’s hand, her tone calm but firm. “Let’s skip it this time, okay? There’ll be plenty more chances in the future. You can come with me then.”

“Alright then..” Amelia mumbled, lips turned downward, clearly bummed out.

As expected, Sabrina took first place, and Ethan walked with her to the stage for the award ceremony.

The vice principal came forward to hand out the trophies to the top three winners.

After presenting second and third place, he walked up to Sabrina with the trophy in hand. “Miss Johnson, congratulations.”

With a polite smile, Sabrina nodded. “Thank you, sir. I’ll keep working hard.”

Just as she reached out to take the trophy, a sharp male voice cut through the applause.

“Don’t give it to her!” Emily Carter rushed up onto the stage.

Sabrina’s eyes widened. “Emily Carter? What are you doing here?”

“I’m the principal’s assistant,” he replied flatly, then turned to the vice principal. “Sir, there’s a serious issue

with this first place.”

The vice principal raised an eyebrow. “What kind of issue?”

Emily leaned in and whispered into his ear.

Claim

The vice principal’s expression darkened immediately. He handed the trophy back to the hostess without a word.

Sabrina shot a furious glare at Emily, practically grinding her teeth. “What the hell, Emily? Why are you ruining this for me? What’s your deal?”

“I’m not the one ruining anything – you are,” Emily said with a cold smirk.

The vice principal turned to Sabrina, voice sharp. “Miss Johnson, you’ve deceived us all!”

Sabrina’s confidence wavered. “Sir, I don’t know what he told you, but I…”

He cut her off, his voice icy. “This artwork isn’t yours, Sabrina Johnson. You’re expelled!”

Gasps and murmurs erupted from the crowd.

“I always thought it was weird her grades were so average, but her artwork? Next level.”

“She showed me that painting before – turns out it wasn’t even hers.”Seriously? She made it into the academy using someone else’s painting, and now she’s using it for competitions too?”
