Chapter 166 The Photographer’s Offer
Voss, my boss just got here,” Sabrina said. “Give me a minute.”

She jogged over with a smile bright enough to light the room. “Ms. Sinclair, what are you doing here?”
Nora liked that smile. Two dimples came with it, and it was catching.
“I finished up early and wanted to see how the shoot was going. How do you feel about it?”
“Really good. Toby and Mr. Voss have both looked out for me,” Sabrina said. “It’s the best job I’ve had since I started.”
Nora took in all that sunshine on her face and nodded. “Good.”
The whole reason she had driven over was the worry that Sabrina would get pushed around again and say nothing about it.
Bridget went around handing out coffee and cold drinks to the crew.
“Ms. Sinclair.” Toby came over to say hello.
Nora nodded back. “Hello. Could I see the proofs?”
“Of course. Right over here.” He walked her to the monitor. “Sabrina has been great, by the way. The whole shoot has gone smoothly.”
Toby pulled up everything they had shot over the last two days.
While she went through the photos, Toby looked her over head to toe. Her face and her figure both read expensive, and his hands itched to put her in front of a camera.
Nora liked what she saw, though she had notes. “Swap the two of them in this one and the mood lands better. And in this one here…”
Toby frowned before he could stop himself. Nobody enjoyed being told how to shoot by somebody outside the business.
Then, he looked at what she was actually suggesting, and it was good, and he came around.
Off to the side, Sabrina took all of it in.
When Nora finished with the proofs, Toby was already watching her with something hopeful in his face. “Ms. Sinclair, would you ever consider fronting a campaign?”
“Sorry?” She looked at him. “Me?”
Toby nodded, and the pitch was completely sincere. “Your height and your face fit this ring campaign better than anything we’ve shot. If you fronted it and then went into film, you’d blow up overnight.
“And I think you and Mr. Voss would look better together on camera.”
The happiness drained out of Sabrina’s face. Panic took its place.

Nora turned him down with a smile. “Sorry. I have no interest in being in ads. Sabrina has the endorsement,
Bieh makes her the right person for it.”
Preston frowned at him from a few feet away. “Sabrina and I work well together. Swapping her out now would be an insult to everything she’s already done. Nobody on this shoot is a better match for me than she is.”
Sabrina let out a breath, and the smile came back.
Toby backpedaled fast. “My apologies. You’re so beautiful I couldn’t help saying it. I do hope you’ll think it
over.”
The smile came off Nora’s face, and what was left of it was cold. “Not interested. There’s nothing to think
over.”
That gave Preston an excuse to look at her openly. It wasn’t only her face. She had the kind of bone structure that looked good from every angle.
The cold, untouchable way she carried herself finished the job. Most men would have kept their distance. He wanted to drag her down into the dirt and watch her come apart underneath him.
Nora was the kind of woman a man respected and wanted to break at the same time.
Nora felt the attention crawling over her, and she looked up, annoyed, straight at Preston.
Preston met her eyes without flinching and gave her a polite nod. “Hello. Preston Voss.”
Nora nodded back, cool and correct. “Nora Sinclair.”
Toby still wasn’t finished. “What about modeling, then? International work. With your—”
Nora cut him off, colder than before. “Not interested. I own a company. Why would I go work for somebody else?”
That ended it. “A real shame,” he said. “I hope business keeps booming for you, then.”
Toby meant it. Finding somebody with that much potential and watching her walk away was a genuine loss.
The shoot picked up again after the break, and Nora stayed where she was and watched from the side.
Toby took her notes and changed the poses she had flagged, and the results were better for it.
Nora watched Preston work, frowned, and pulled out her phone to look him up.
Best Actor three years running and not one scandal on him. His wife was Celine Voss, an award-winning actress herself, and the two of them were famous for how solid the marriage was. Both of them gave their time to charity.
They donated to foundations and volunteered at children’s homes, and they never publicized any of it. Fans caught them at it and posted about it online, which was the only reason anybody knew.
Nothing ugly had ever stuck to either of them. They were the couple the industry held up as an example.
