Chapter 303 All Talk

Olivia froze again. If she posted something like that, she’d officially be with Theo. She didn’t even like Theo. It was Julian she wanted!
Nora smiled and leaned over to whisper to Julian, “Uncle Harlan can be pretty quick on the uptake sometimes.”
She’d barely dropped a hint, and he’d run right with it. Now they’d find out just how far Olivia was willing to take her act.
“He’s not completely stupid,” Julian said.
Nora raised an eyebrow at him. “Olivia’s sacrificing so much for you. Doesn’t that tug at your heartstrings even a little?” She sounded more than a little jealous.
Julian smiled, clearly in a good mood, and looked down at her. “Plenty of people go all out for me. Everyone at the company, the staff and the bodyguards here on the estate. Am I supposed to fall for all of them?”
Nora huffed. “That’s not the same as Olivia. Even the toughest guy is a sucker for a pretty face, especially one who’s willing to give up everything for him.”
Julian hooked his pinky around hers, then laced their fingers together and leaned down close to her ear. “I know the difference between gratitude and love.
“If someone I don’t care about saved my life, I’d be grateful, but that’s all it would ever be.
“If it’s someone I love, she could stab me straight through the heart, and I wouldn’t regret a thing.”
Julian knew exactly where he stood, and he never sent mixed signals when it came to love.
Nora looked up at him. He only had eyes for her.
Olivia had been hoping Julian would get angry and jealous. She looked up to see how he’d react, only to find him whispering with Nora, paying her no attention at all, even though she was putting herself through all this for his sake.
She clenched her jaw. How could he treat me like this?
Harlan held out the printed contract to Olivia. “Sign it once you’ve made up your mind, Olivia. Oh, and you’ll need to post it on Instagram first.
“Once you sign the contract and announce on Instagram that you and Theo are together, I’ll have them stop right away. Nobody has to move out.”
Sienna stood beside Olivia, delighted. “Olivia, I think this is great! Be my sister-in-law! My brother’s a great guy too.”
It was Olivia herself that Sienna liked. As long as Olivia married into the family, Sienna didn’t care which Weston she ended
up with.

Olivia ruanaged a stiff smile, but she couldn’t get a single word out.

Harlan frowned and pressed her. “What, you don’t want to? Can’t bear to part with a hospital, or is my son not good enough for you?”
“Uncle Harlan…” Olivia began.
Harlan could tell from her face that she was scrambling for an excuse, and he knew exactly what she was thinking. He cut her off impatiently. “If you really want to help, quit hesitating and sign it already.
“Nobody asked you to help Julian and the others. So don’t stand there playing the martyr if you’re not willing to put your money where your mouth is.”
If he hadn’t still been hoping for a marriage with the Blithes, Harlan would have said something much nastier.
Sienna wasn’t happy either. She glared at her father. “Dad, why are you talking to Olivia like that? Quit messing around and come home with me before Grandma and Julian get mad.”
Olivia could live with giving up a hospital, but not with being tied to Theo. She kept hesitating, unsure whether to take her act that far.
Nora had seen enough of the show. She walked straight over, snatched the contract out of Harlan’s hand, and said coldly, “This is my family’s business. I don’t need Ms. Blithe pretending to care and paying lip service just so we’ll owe her one.”
Olivia seethed, but she put on a wounded look. “Nora, you’re the one who caused this mess. I really do want to help. I don’t want Grandma Weston and Julian to get kicked out of the main house and lose everything.”
Once again, her words reminded everyone that Nora had caused all of today’s trouble, and that Olivia was only trying to help. Next to Nora, she was practically a saint.
Nora let out a soft laugh and handed her the contract and a pen. “You really mean it? Then thanks in advance, future Mrs. Theo Weston!”
Olivia bristled at the way Nora leaned on those last few words. She looked at Julian, then at Constance.
Not one of them told her she didn’t have to help. They just stood there quietly and watched, which was the last thing she’d expected.
At a moment like this, they were supposed to see how kind and thoughtful she was, how much sweeter and more sensible than Nora, and how much better suited she was to be Julian’s wife.
They should have been touched, too upset to let her suffer like this. They should have praised her sacrifice, thanked her for helping, and resented Nora for the mess she’d made.
That way, she’d have an easy way out. She wouldn’t actually have to sign over a hospital or post anything on Instagram.
Instead, Olivia was stuck between a rock and a hard place. If she went through with it, she’d lose the one thing she actually wanted. If she backed out, everyone would see she’d never really meant to help, and she’d come off looking bad either way,
