Reborn to Marry My Best Friend's Uncle novel Chapter 171

The car door opened, and Easton stepped out. He wore a well-tailored black suit that accentuated his tall figure and imposing presence.

He adjusted his cuffs and looked up at the building before him icily.

In the penthouse suite of the rehabilitation center, Cecilia was lying comfortably on a bed. She was enjoying a luxurious skin treatment provided by two visiting estheticians.

Her eyes were closed, and the corners of her mouth were curled up in an unconcealed smile. She had lived in incredible comfort these past two days.

Sean had promised her that he would come back and marry her immediately after he dealt with Annie. Then, she would be Mrs. Frost, and she would never have to answer to anyone again.

Cecilia wanted to be the most beautiful bride and marry Sean in style.

That was why she spent a fortune every day on private beauty treatments. She wanted to look her absolute best.

Suddenly, she heard a slight stir outside.

Cecilia thought that Sean had returned or some fool had come to interrupt her skincare. She opened her eyes lazily.

Her tone carried a hint of impatience. "Didn't I say that no one is allowed to disturb me during my treatment?"

However, when she saw who it was, her relaxed expression instantly froze. It was Easton.

Why was he here?

Cecilia's heart skipped a beat, but she quickly calmed down.

Sean was about to marry her. So, technically, Easton was her future brother-in-law.

She was about to become a member of the Frost family. As such, she believed that he wouldn't do anything to her.

Cecilia sat up in bed. She tidied her silk robe and wore a smile that she thought was appropriate.

"Easton, what brings you here?" she asked.

The corner of Easton's mouth curved into a faint smile.

He held nothing but contempt for women like her, those conniving social climbers with delusions of grandeur willing to use any dirty trick to claw their way into the Frost family.

He didn't think she was worthy to utter his name. He said icily, "It seems that you're living quite well here."

Easton ignored her greeting. His gaze swept over the expensive skincare products in the room, and his tone was chilling.

Cecilia felt a chill run down her spine under his scrutiny, so she gave a dry laugh to explain herself.

"I... I just want to be in my best state to marry Sean. Rest assured that I will take the best care of Sean and fulfill my duties as a daughter-in-law of the Frost family."

She was under the impression that he had come to evaluate her suitability for the family.

Easton let out a low laugh, as if he'd just heard the biggest joke in the world.

"Marry Sean?"

He walked forward, looked down at her, and continued, "I'm afraid that you won't see that day."

Then, he waved his hand.
