Reborn to Marry My Best Friend's Uncle novel Chapter 77

Annie couldn't believe her terrible luck. Of all places, she had to run into Sean here.

"Sean! Let go of me!" she screamed. However, Sean pretended as though he hadn't heard her.

His grip was surprisingly strong. With her high heels on, Annie couldn't even maintain her balance.

Sean dragged her along so roughly that a sharp pain shot up her ankles.

"Are you crazy? Let go!" She struggled violently, using her free hand to pry at his fingers.

But his hand clamped around her wrist like welded steel. It was completely immovable.

People on the street glanced at them curiously, but one look at Sean's murderous expression, and no one dared to intervene.

"Help! I don't know him!" Annie yelled at the pedestrians, but her voice was drowned out instantly by Sean's aggressive movements.

The passenger door of his Bentley was yanked open.

Before she could react, he used brute force to shove her inside. Annie's head slammed against the window with a dull thud, and her vision went black for a moment.

She had barely had time to gasp before the door slammed shut with a violent bang. Then, the driver's side door opened.

Radiating cold fury, Sean climbed inside. The central lock clicked as it was pressed.

Annie's heart dropped. She immediately reached for the door handle, but it was locked.

Turning to stare at him, she snapped, "Sean, what the hell do you think you're doing?"

She didn't know what he wanted or where he was taking her. It seemed that he had lost his mind.

Finally, Sean responded. He slowly turned his head, but he didn't answer.

And Sean? He was even more laughably naive. To think that he could buy loyalty and a life with money and a house.

All Christian had to do was send the donor's family overseas, gift them a fortune they could never earn in a lifetime, and carefully store all the evidence of Sean's bribery.

Christian believed that Sean had brought it upon himself. Then, he glanced at the clock on the wall. It was almost time.

He rose to his feet, leisurely straightening the lapel of his suit.

A highly rated private kitchen had recently opened nearby. Christian thought that it was perfect for taking Annie out to dinner.

Just the thought of sharing a meal with her softened the coldness around him, a genuine smile appearing in his eyes. The more he thought about it, the happier he felt.

Christian told Michael to get out of work early. He then changed into casual clothes in the lounge, grabbed his coat, and walked out of the office.

Soon, he arrived at the EVL office building.
