Chapter 134
When they left the room, staff members outside were all shocked.
It looked as though they had just solved something very trivial when it was a problem that had baffled them for a long time.
The disparity between their abilities made them feel ashamed of themselves.
Mr. Shea, who received them, was filled with praise for them. “Mr. Langley is capable indeed, worthy of your reputation as a top-notch talent in the industry.”
Personnel from Institute 511 were bound to be of a certain standard.
“Credit goes to Ms. Sinclair,” Jasper said with a small smile
“Ms. Sinclair?”
Mr. Shea looked at Amelia in shock. He thought she was Mr Langley’s secretary or assistant.
She looked so young…
Mr. Shea greeted Amelia and praised her perfunctorily. She didn’t have much of a reputation in the industry, after all.
Coincidentally, his words drifted into Luke’s ears.
“How capable of you, that Mr. Langley would bring you out and even give you a designation.”
Luke was truly surprised. Jasper was someone significant in the industry, after all. Yet, Amelia had him wrapped around her little finger.
It was true that even heroes have a weakness for the charm of beauties.
Amelia couldn’t be bothered to respond to him. After bidding Mr. Shea farewell, she headed to the washroom.
Luke rolled his eyes.
He turned to Jasper and said, “Do you know the kind of person that woman is? Don’t be blinded by her appearance. She’s taking advantage of you, and you even gave her a designation.”
Jasper’s face turned dark. “Mr. Carter, please watch your words.”
He was clearly defending Amelia.
Luke was confused at the stern look on Jasper’s face.
He didn’t expect Jasper to be so bewitched. He had made himself so clear, yet Jasper was choosing to obstinately persist in his own way.
Ms. Sinclair? Talking to people from the technical department? A housewife doing all these? Who would believe
him?
Jasper was just trying to make her look good. At the very least, it sounded better than being an assistant or secretary.
His respectful address of Amelia would certainly make it easier for her to access high-end venues and events.
Luke had to admit that Amelia knew a thing or two about selucing and pleasing men. He had underestimated her.
Intending to do good, Luke tried to warn Jasper.

“Don’t let yourself get taken advantage of by a woman. It’s not easy building your company from scratch to the scale it is today.”
After leaving the washroom, Amelia walked past an office.
“Chris, my mom didn’t really like that ceramic vase we bought before. However, my grandmother used to like such pieces when she was alive. Since we’re planning to shift her grave, I was thinking of using it as an offering to her and displaying it at her grave. Do you mind that? It’s something you bought for me, after all.”
Nicole’s voice could be heard from within the office.
Amelia’s heart fell.
Something that once belonged to her grandmother was about to become an offering for Nicole’s grandmother and buried with the latter.
“Ms. Sinclair, you’re here. Join us for lunch. We can discuss the technical issue over the meal, too,” Mr. Shea said loudly.
The two of them in the office looked out.
“Ms. Sinclair?” Nicole was rather surprised to see Amelia there. “What brings you here?”
This was Infotech Group’s office. How could she even step foot in here? Was she stalking them?
Christopher looked indifferently, almost emotionlessly, at Amelia.
“Ms. Randall, Mr. Langley is asking for you. He has a technical question to discuss with you.”
Nicole arched a brow but smiled anyway. “Sure.”
Jasper Langley was a capable man with high expectations. Yet now, he actually had a technical question he needed to seek Nicole’s advice on.
“Chris, I’ll head over first. I’ll be back soon to pick up from where we left off.”
It went without saying what they wanted to continue discussing.
The ceramic vase that Amelia had her eyes on was going to be made as an offering by Nicole.
Nicole brushed past Amelia and glanced at her, saying smilingly, “Let’s have lunch together later.”
After Nicole left, Amelia turned to look at Christopher in his office. The moment Nicole left, he turned his attention to the document on his desk.
He had always disregarded her presence and never treated her as his wife. In fact, he probably treated her worse than he would a stranger.
Amelia had long gotten used to it.’
She took a deep breath and said, “Let’s talk.”
