Nicole’s eyes narrowed as she looked at Christopher, who remained silent.

His features were exquisite, but his eyes were cold and distant. It was hard to tell what he was feeling right now. He wasn’t one to wear his heart on his sleeve.

Sometimes, even Nicole found it hard to read him.

However, she knew what that look on Christopher’s face meant. He didn’t care about Amelia’s relationship with Jasper at all.

She smirked.

“You think that marriage was a burden, don’t you? Good that you went ahead with the divorce. You should feel glad seeing your ex-wife welcoming her new, happy life.”

Christopher flicked some ashes away from his sleeve. Instead of replying to her, he said, “Didn’t we arrange to meet another partner here? You two go ahead first. I need the washroom.”

The underground car park was very dimly lit. Amelia didn’t like it at all, so she decided to walk around the streets instead.

The view was great, with beautiful lights and flowers decorating the streets.

When she turned the corner, she bumped into Christopher.

He stared right into her eyes, his eyes dark and unfathomable.

It didn’t look like a coincidence. Rather, he had been waiting for her here.

He was asking if she had decided to accept the 500 million dollars and to let Nicole into the project team.
