Chapter 222
Technology was key in this industry.
Amelia was confident about doing a good job in Nova Nine and bringing it to greater heights.
She didn’t give a damn about Megatech, no matter how big it was.
Jasper could see the look of ambition burning bright in Amelia’s eyes.
She really didn’t see her ex-husband and Nicole as a big deal.
“That’s good,” he said with a smile, a look of admiration in his eyes. “Let’s bring them down together.”
At that moment, he knew that the Amelia of the past was back.
Jasper knew that if Christopher was bent on opening a company for Nicole to take her revenge against Nova Nine, Nova Nine at its current state would certainly not be able to handle it.
Given their status in the industry, Infotech Group and Christopher struck fear in people’s hearts.
As a leading company in the industry, Infotech Group was filled with talents. They were always one step ahead of others be it in official news or market developments. The Zephyrs held significant positions in politics as well.
Jasper scoffed. “Your ex-husband is a bastard through and through.”
Backing up his lover while constantly opposing his own wife. Did he chase Amelia away to make way for his lover?
Amelia shook her head with a smile. “I was blind.”
Christopher was born in a wealthy family and was used to fighting for his rights in the harsh business world. The blood that flowed in his veins was cold and heartless.
Being kind and merciful, in the upper echelons of society, was akin to having a death wish.
Everyone behaved like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, cunning and crafty in their dealings.
The majority of the powerful and influential people got to where they were by stepping on others.
Christopher had long emerged victorious in this game of survival of the fittest. It went without saying how cold- blooded he was.
He could be ruthless to one he didn’t love and kill her without her even knowing.
Amelia was a prime example of that. She had suffered her fair share of his cruelty.
Two days later, Amelia headed to the industrial and commercial bureau, where she bumped into Christopher
and Nicole.
They were there to register Megatech with the bureau.
The procedures to establish a company were complex and required multiple levels of checks and approvals.

However, given Christopher’s status, going through these procedures was as easy as pie.
Christopher and Nicole walked out of the bureau, chatting along the way.
“Chris, I still feel slightly antsy about this. Although I have the technical skills, I’ve never actually led a team.”
Despite Nicole’s words, the joyful and satisfied smile on her face said otherwise.
Christopher flicked the ash from his cigarette and said flatly, “You have to start somewhere. I trust you’ll do a good job.”
“What if…” Nicole said with a sweet smile, “What if I mess up?”
“With me around, you won’t mess up that badly.”
The expression on Christopher’s face remained unchanged amidst the wisps of smoke around him, but it was clear to see how much he doted on Nicole.
He was basically assuring her that he would always have her back, no matter what.
Nicole chuckled brightly at Christopher’s words.
Reaching out to book an arm around Christopher’s shoulders, Nicole said, “We’re bros. I’d never mess the company up. Don’t you at least trust me enough on that? I was just joking with you. Come on, I have a doctorate in finance!”
She earned her double doctorate in preparation for this day to come.
Not only was she going to be a technical personnel, but she was also going to establish her own technology
company.
Nicole’s goal was to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Zephyrs in the local industry. She would do it for the sake of her mother and for the Randall family.
“In two years, I’ll break even and double your investment of close to a billion!”
A smile of confidence hung on Nicole’s lips. She was confident in her own abilities. 1
She knew where her capabilities lay.
