Jasper put the contract back down on the table and smiled at Nicole.

“Ms. Sinclair is a core technical personnel member of my company and has the right to speak, unlike someone who needs to take her cue from a man before she speaks,” he said, disregarding her feelings and dignity.

The smile on Nicole’s face froze. Her tone turned cold.

“Mr. Langley, do you have something against me?”

Jasper arched a brow, the smile still on his face. “Something against you? Was I even talking about you, Ms. Randall?”

Why was she so eager to assume that he was talking about her?

She sat up straight and said firmly, “Since you call it a partnership, letting Nova Nine lead the project will ensure that benefits are maximized for all. Mr. Zephyr, you’re a businessman. I’m sure you’ll prioritize what’s most beneficial for everyone.”

Amelia remained calm and unruffled, enunciating every word with confidence and certainty. She didn’t seem at all affected by his overwhelming aura.

Christopher looked lazily at her.

“I’ve heard too many empty promises.” He crossed his legs and tapped twice on the table. “How can you guarantee that you’ll do better than Megatech?”
