Christopher was a man who lived a life of luxury and comfort. He was elegant and sophisticated, exuding an air of refined grace.

However, he had slammed the door shut so loudly, it drew Jasper and Amelia’s attention.

Just then, Nicole looked at them and said with a smile, “Mr. Langley and Ms. Sinclair are so close, you two look just like a couple!”

Jasper locked his car and stuffed the car key in his pocket.

He shot Nicole a warm and friendly smile and retaliated, “You look like you have quite the close relationship with Mr. Zephyr, too. In fact, you two look just like a married couple. Those who have no idea might think that you’re Mrs. Zephyr.”

He was clearly insinuating something.

Jasper wore a smile on his face, but his words were sharp and piercing.

The smile on Nicole’s face faded.

“What nonsense are you spouting?!” Luke sneered.

“You two were acting intimate, what with you feeding her a sweet. All of us saw it with our own eyes. What kind of friends will behave so intimately with each other?

“What’s more, Ms. Sinclair is a married woman. How could she do something so indecent in broad daylight?”

Amelia found his words laughable.

“Me? A married woman?” she said coldly. “Tell me, who’s my husband?”

“Y-You!” Luke’s face turned dark with anger as he sputtered.

Christopher clearly didn’t want outsiders knowing about their relationship. Luke had just shot himself in the

foot.

He eventually squeezed out, “Who knows who your husband is!”

Amelia burst out laughing.

Christopher, on the other hand, looked completely unaffected, as though the ‘dead husband’ Amelia was talking about wasn’t him at all.

Luke opened his mouth, but he was rendered speechless by Amelia’s shocking revelation.

He looked at Christopher next to him and stuttered, “C-Chris…”

Christopher merely looked coldly at him and ordered, “Let’s head in.”

Today marked the day Infotech, Nova Nine, Cloudway Technologies, and Megatech inked their cooperation.

Mr. Johnson placed the contracts on the table and gave everyone their copies.

Amelia and Christopher lowered their heads as they flipped through the contract.

Cloudway Technologies served as support, while Infotech was the key backer. Nova Nine and Megatech were both involved in the technical aspects.

The meeting room was almost silent, save for the sound of them flipping through the documents.

Mr. Johnson was the first to speak.

“We spoke to Mr. Zephyr yesterday. Cloudway Technologies and Megatech are both under Infotech Group, although they will play different roles in this collaboration. Do the rest of you have any objections?”

At Mr. Johnson’s words, Amelia was done reading the contract and closed the documents. She looked at everyone in the room.

“I don’t have any objections to the contract except for one thing. I don’t agree to having Megatech as the lead of the project. Nova Nine should be the technical lead, while the other companies can take on the production and subsequent completion procedures.”
