Amelia was just a newbie in the workforce without any credible academic qualifications. As a mere assistant, Jasper wouldn’t take her heed on something so major, no matter how much her beauty blinded him.

“Nova Nine had a chance to be involved in this government tender purely because of us. They could have benefited by quietly working behind us, but they’re trying to snatch the lead position from us. They’re totally overestimating themselves!”

Luke turned to look at Christopher. “What do you think of this, Chris?”

Christopher leaned against his chair, his eyes cold and indifferent. He said nothing.

Outside the meeting room, Jasper’s face was dark with displeasure.
