Chapter 391
Forde traded a*, Ams, and Tray the while way while keeping his distance.
The headed them, the more it felt off. How did a simple shopping trip end up at the airport?
It took this phone and called his younger brother, Lance, his eyes never leaving Sierra. “Ms. Sierra brought Ms. Anna and Mommy to the airport. Do we need to tell our boss about this?”
arre turted.
“Where are they again?” he asked.
“At the airport,” Forde said.
Lance was already starting to panic. “Of course you have to tell him!”
“But the Boss said that as long as Ms. Sierra and the others didn’t run into any danger today, we don’t have to report to him,” Forde said, honestly confused. “Does that mean he already knew they were going to leave and is letting her go on purpose?”
Lance fell silent.
Their boss did order all the surveillance pulled back.
Still, Ms. Sierra leaving was a big deal.
“Keep an eye on them. I’ll go report to the boss,” said Lance,
“Alright.” Forde hung up.
By then, Sierra had already followed the crowd into the airport. Just as she was about to collect her boarding passes, her phone buzzed twice with a message from Lucas.
[I’m sorry.]
Sierra gave it a brief glance, then put her phone away. She felt nothing at all.
She and Anna each held one of Tommy’s hands as they boarded the plane.
The plane took off.
Her chest felt a little less tight now.
John was in a meeting at the company. Lance paced back and forth outside the conference room door for a long time before he finally caught Robin’s attention and motioned for him to look at his phone.
Robin took out his phone.
When he read the message, his eyes widened.
After a few seconds, he bent down beside John and lowered his voice. “Sir, Forde said Ms. Sierra and the others went to the airport. The plane to Harbor City took off five minutes ago.”
Achill flashed through the depths of John’s dark eyes. However, it was gone an instant later.
“Continue the meeting.”
Robin’s brows frowned for a moment.
Lance was still outside, anxiously waiting for his orders. He waited a full half hour.
As soon as the meeting ended, Lance rushed over to John and hurried after him as he walked toward the CEO’s office. “Boss, Ms.

Sierra, Ms. Anna, and Mr. Tommy had just been together. Should we go after them?”
“Who told you that?” John asked as he walked into his office.
“Forde,” Lance replied, unable to figure out what his boss was thinking. “He saw them go to the airport with his own eyes.”
“And you believe him?” John asked.
“It’s true!” Lance insisted. “If you don’t believe me, call Ms. Sierra. There’s no way you can get through to her right now.”
“She’s having dinner with me tonight. She wouldn’t leave.” John walked in and sat down in his chair, calm and composed.” Don’t jump at every rumor.”
“But…” Lance still wanted to say more.
Robin pulled him out.
Lance glanced back at his boss, who had already put the matter aside and gone back to work in earnest. He said to Robin, “Ms. Sierra really left, you have to talk to the boss about it.”
“You think he didn’t already know?” Robin said quietly, already reading John’s mind.
Lance just stared at him, completely lost.
Robin knew tonight would not be calm. “Pass this news on to Mr. Gomez.”
“Which news?” Lance asked.
Robin gave him a look. “What do you think?”
Lance slipped away at once.
Robin looked back at the man in the chair, his face calm and without a trace of emotion. He knew this was only the calm before the storm. If Sierra didn’t come back for dinner, then he would be on a business trip to Harbor City with him by ten that night at
the latest.
There was no telling what would happen there.
After mulling it over, he took out his phone and sent Sierra a message. “Ms. Sierra, don’t forget about dinner tonight. Mr. John is waiting for you.”
Sierra received the message three hours later.
They had reached their temporary lodging, and she only checked her phone after they put their things away and settled in.
Noticing something off in her expression, Tommy asked, “Mom, what’s wrong?”
