Chapter 443
Over the next few days, Sierra finished handling Tommy’s enrollment and took him to school.
She stayed home most of the time after that, learning all kinds of things from Anna and familiarizing herself with every aspect of the King family and King Group which included their partners, manufacturing factories, and more.
As for Holly, she went to inspect the film crew after spending Sierra’s birthday with her.
Holly would also be staying in Harbor City for the next few months as well. Firstly, she needed to oversee the shooting of an important show. Secondly, her mom had things in Harbor City that needed her attention.
Which meant Nicholas was the only one left in Jade City.
On the twenty–ninth, when Holly came to meet Sierra for a meal, Nicholas started pestering them with video calls. As soon as Sierra picked his call up, he began shouting at the two of them.
“Don’t you two feel guilty at all? How can you dump a handsome and charming man like me in Jade City all by myself and not feel even the slightest pang of guilt?!”
“I don’t,” Holly and Sierra said in unison.
Nick was about to lose it. “That’s crossing a line!”
Holly and Sierra kept eating without even looking at him on the screen.
Nicholas was so angry he was gritting his teeth.
What else was he supposed to do other than to put up with it? He couldn’t do a thing to either of them, anyway.
“Stop eating for a second. I have something serious to tell you,” Nicholas said. Watching them eat so happily made his stomach growl.
Holly stuffed a piece of meat into her mouth without lifting her head. “Go ahead.”
“Show me a little respect, won’t you?” Nicholas rolled his eyes.
Holly then answered in a serious tone, “We’re answering your call while we’re eating. Multitasking like this is already the most respect we can give you.”
“That’s right,” Sierra agreed.
Nicholas felt like his heart had been crushed. “Stop agreeing with her. Anyway. Dr. Yates, the one Pamela went to see, has woken up.”
Holly paused.
Sierra froze for a moment too.
At the same time, they both put down their forks and knives before looking up at him on the screen.
“When did he wake up? Did you talk to him yet?” Holly asked.
“He just woke up. The doctors are checking him now,” Nicholas said. He had been waiting at the hospital for the past few days,
and he was getting really tired. “He still can’t speak clearly. Everything comes out in fragments.”
“Then he probably needs a couple of days before he can talk clearly,” Holly said, and she started eating again.
“There’s one more thing,” Nicholas added.
Holly still didn’t look at the screen. “Go on.”

Nicholas said nothing
“Huh?” Holly looked up at him in confusion. “Just say it.”
Nicholas’s stomach was still rumbling. Seeing that she only cared about eating and not about him made him feel even worse. I’ll talk when you put down your fork and sit still like a good little student.”
“Either say it or be quiet. I don’t care,” Holly said, refusing to indulge him at all.
Nicholas fell silent. He felt like he was about to break. “Can I at least have a voice in this family?”
“In our friendship of three, you really don’t have any,” Holly said, simply stating the truth.
“Sierra, look at her!” Nicholas protested.
