Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 572

While Sierra was still thinking about what Pamela had said to her, her phone rang. When she saw Holly's father calling, she answered right away.

"I'm at the hospital," Jason said quickly, sounding worried. "Where are you two?"

"Come to the sixth floor, inpatient department number three. I'll meet you at the elevator." Sierra stood up with her phone in hand and walked out as she spoke, missing the complicated look in Pamela's eyes.

Three minutes later, Sierra met Jason at the elevator. He was in a suit and looked like he had come straight from a dinner party.

"Where's Holly?" Jason asked, concerned plain in his eyes. "What happened to her?"

"Huh?" Sierra looked completely confused.

Jason frowned. Why was she stunned like that? Was Holly's condition really that serious?

"Did Holly tell you she was the one who got hurt?" Sierra thought it through and understood what happened here.

Jason paused. "If it wasn't her, then who was it?"

On the phone, his precious Holly had said weakly, "Mr. Sanders, your precious daughter is at the hospital right now. Why don't you come take a look?"

"You'll know when you get there," Sierra said.

She didn't explain any further and led him to the ward.

The moment Jason saw Pamela, confusion flashed across his face. Then, all his worry vanished.

After leaving Pamela with him, Sierra left the hospital. Before getting into the car, she called Holly.

"You handed him to her?" Holly asked while she was gaming.

"Yeah." Sierra glanced back at the hospital and thought about what Jason had just asked her. "Did you tell your dad you were the one in trouble?"

"No. I told him his precious daughter was in trouble." Holly thought fast. "If I'd told him Pamela was in trouble, he probably wouldn't have shown up until tomorrow morning. For the sake of your freedom and peace of mind, I chose to sacrifice him."

From there, all kinds of dark thoughts spread through her mind. If he had started spying on her, did that mean he no longer planned to keep his promise? And if he broke that promise, would her life sink back into misery all over again?

"Kenneth was at the same restaurant on a blind date," John lied without the slightest change in expression. "When he went in, he happened to run into Pamela looking for you."

Sierra quietly let out a sigh of relief.

John said, "I'll have Robin handle it. She won't cause you any more trouble."

"That's for the best," she said.

Sierra wanted nothing to do with Pamela. No matter how awful Pamela's family was, or how miserable her circumstances and life had become, none of them had anything to do with her.

Maybe Sierra would feel a little bad for her sometimes, just because they were both women, but it would also go away fast.

In the years ahead, she most likely would not even remember any of it.
