Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 643

"Will he really do that?" Daniel asked, wondering if John would really intervene one more time.

Nathan still resented Daniel for what had happened in the past. If Daniel hadn't been so old, Nathan would not have bothered speaking to him at all. "He's right there. Ask him yourself."

Daniel was getting upset, but he didn't say anything. After the terrible fallout between them years ago, it was already good enough for things to ease up to such a point.

"And Sierra?" Daniel asked.

"I'll talk to her." Nathan finally agreed after thinking it over.

Sierra had not grown up under his care, and she was closely tied to the King family. With the two families' relationship so hostile over the years, those people would definitely object if she inherited his shares later.

Even if he could make everyone agree in the end, it would certainly cost him a lot. It was better to spend one meal to scare them a little using John.

When Nathan approached, Sierra, Holly, and Lucy had just finished a game with Tommy. Seeing that they were about to start another round, he quickly walked over and asked, "Sierra, can I talk to you for a second?"

Sierra raised her eyebrow.

Holly nodded at Sierra. "Go on. We can handle things here."

Holly saw things clearer than Sierra did. Since Sierra had a rich father, she might as well use him. He had not spent money or effort on her for more than twenty years and had gotten a daughter for free, so he had to do something at least.

Sierra walked away with Nathan. Her expression was calm as she asked, "What is it?"

"There's a family dinner next Saturday night. I want to take you to see some of the family members from my side." Nathan didn't explain too much. "It's just a meal. Whether you acknowledge them as family is still up to you."

Sierra instinctively wanted to refuse, but Cedric had already set his sights on her. Without her realizing it, the King family and the Lynch family had already become involved with each other, and whoever was behind the shadows was pushing her forward step by step.

"Don't worry. I'll be there too," Nathan told her. "I won't let anyone hurt you."

"I'll check my schedule for next week." Sierra didn't agree right away. Although the company should not need much from her for now, unexpected things could still crop up. "I'll go if I'm free."

Nathan's tense heart eased a little. "Alright."

John never hid how much he cared about Sierra. "My life."

Daniel did not hear him clearly. "What?"

John repeated, "She's my life."

Daniel froze.

For a moment, his thoughts drifted back more than twenty years to when he had asked Nathan about the same question.

Nathan was still in his twenties, and he asked Nathan what was so good about Anna that she was worth opposing him over.

Back then, Nathan had given the same answer. With wild arrogance, he had told him, "Anna's my life."

"I know what you're thinking. As long as it doesn't hurt Sierra, I will cooperate." John saw through Daniel's thoughts easily. "But if you treat her the way you treated Anna, the Lynch family can slowly decline too."
