Rejected by My Husband, Cherished by the Don novel Chapter 20

Chapter 20

Marco was overjoyed when he heard my words. He enveloped me in his embrace and kissed me fiercely for a long time. He only released me when I started struggling to breathe.

“I’ll remember your words,” he said while staring at me like a wolf. “Three days later, I’ll definitely ask you for your answer.”

I covered my mouth and glared at him, but the corners of my lips subconsciously curled upward.

It turned out that being with the person one loved was such a happy thing.

My relationship with Marco progressed rapidly. I didn’t coldly reject him like I used to in the past. As for Marco, he still treated me well-perhaps even better than before.

I had no idea how Antonia managed to get my new number. She sent me messages every single day, begging me not to ruin her engagement.

“I admit that I was in the wrong in the past, Gina. I’m so sorry. Please don’t come to the engagement banquet, okay?

“I’m sorry, Gina. I’ll never mistreat you ever again. Please don’t ruin my engagement,”

I was completely unmoved as I read through her messages.

In the past, I did wish for her to apologize to me to prove my innocence, However, at that moment, I just wanted her to lose everything.

I didn’t reply to any of her messages.

Eventually, Antonia’s tone switched from apologetic to furious. She began cursing me out in her last few messages.

“Regina, you’re nothing more than someone who’s unwanted by her mother and unloved by her father. Even if you show up at the banquet, I’ll have Dad beat you and throw you to the curb.”

I continued ignoring her messages, but I didn’t expect her to tell Stefano and Salvatore that I was back in the country.

While Stefano began sending a stream of new jewelry to the Scapuzzi residence, I would occasionally spot Salvatore skulking around outside the villa from my bedroom.

They were doing everything in their power to seek forgiveness from me. Unfortunately, Marco would send Stefano’s jewelry to the auction house the next day after it was delivered to the villa, He would then give me even more extravagant jewelry that better suited my tastes.

Marco also personally moved me into the bedroom next to his when Salvatore appeared the next day.

I didn’t meet with the Farro brothers, but I had my men start a rumor that I was looking to marry a successor from one of the families. It didn’t take long for me to receive the news that I was hoping for.

My subordinates informed me that Stefano and Salvatore turned on each other to fight for the role of successor of the Farro family. They didn’t even care that they were hurting the interests of Farro Group.

The internal organization of Farro Group was thrown into chaos. Some of their big clients even began to consider the possibility of terminating their partnership.

I didn’t move against Farro Group directly. Instead, I met with some of their big clients in secret. It didn’t take long before they signed a contract with Scapuzzi Group.

Three days passed in a blink of an eye, but it was more than enough time for me to poach Farro Group’s resources. Although the company still looked as formidable as ever on the surface, in reality, it had turned into a husk of what it once was.

I was in high spirits as I looked at the new contracts that I had secured. I retrieved my phone and typed out a message to send to Antonia, who had continued harassing me for the past few days.

Chapter 20

“I’m getting ready to leave.”

My phone began ringing seconds after 1 sent the message. Asteria was placing me, but I graced her call. She would call me again and again after each previous call went into voicemail.
