“Alpha,” he heard Chase call out from outside.

Jenna adjusted her clothes quickly before he could open the door for him.

“Come in Chase,” he thundered in anger but he couldn’t prevent him from coming inside knowing he summoned him for something urgent.

“You can go home with the chauffeur now, you are dismissed for today and do not branch anywhere else,” Alpha Ryker instructed her keenly, he was preventing her from listening to their conversations.

He stared as Jenna walked out of his office, shutting the door close before he turned. “Speak,” he growled.

“Good day Alpha,” Chase greeted politely, noticing the lip stain on his white shirt and knowing he must have pissed off the Alpha.

Ryker nodded, simply urging him to continue.

I made my findings on the new estate company site available for sale as you instructed and I found out your brother is about to buy a piece in your nephew’s name, Damian. “It shows great potential and can produce a lot of money in the future since it is located at the center of the town,” Chase explained to him.

“Buy out all of the properties, Chase, any amount mentioned just ensure they do not get any piece of it, understood?” Alpha Ryker shot leaving his friend and assistant in shock.

What!? You must be joking right? Chase asked not sure if he was serious but the moment he saw the new expression on his face he knew it wasn’t a joke.

“Alpha, do you still remember you promised your father that you wouldn’t let any issue affect the family bond that you all share?” Chase asked.

“And who says that I am causing an issue on purpose? I’m only buying a property that I’m interested in. This is what I had promised her already.” Alpha Ryker said with a dark smile.

All he wanted was to avenge her and he would go to any lengths even though it involved going against his family.

This was what he had promised his mate.

Chase was certain he had no use for the properties but because Damian had stepped on his path, it was going to be hell for him. “I hope she is worth all of these resources, Ryker,” He said to him.

“But That’s okay. I’m sure I have no right to meddle in your affairs. After all, she has no one to rely on except our Alpha for now.”

Alpha Ryker could crush anyone he wants to within a twinkle of an eye. He was yet to specify if he was just fighting for her or doing it for himself.

What he believed was that he had promised Jenna that he would help her avenge the pain Damian and her family had caused her.

Of course, he wouldn’t let her family off the hook!

This was the property his little nephew desired the most and he won’t let him have it. “After this his next target was the greedy Alpha of the crescent moon pack!”

Chase excused himself to carry out the task that was given to him.

It had been two days already since he gave the assignment to Chase, Alpha Ryker went out early to work without Jenna and returned late to the Night Villa. He kept avoiding her.

Five days later, Jenna was at home when she received a call from her best friend Kaya to click the link she sent to her on I*******m. Kaya knew her friend was not a social media person and barely had time for the TV too.

As soon as Jenna clicked the link she was left in shock at the news making the media rounds.

“Alpha Ryker Stones has purchased all of the new estate company site located at the center of the city and he has taken his brother by surprise because he has never been interested in things like this.” Could this be a family feud or there is more to this than we know?

All dignitaries and top companies have been wanting that site for over a year now…”

The TV host continued, “This is the evidence showing that Alpha Ryker had purchased it,” he said, pointing toward the document. And his brother Liam Stones doesn’t seem happy about it.”

“Is the Alpha exercising his power as the richest in history?”

“Alpha Ryker against his brother?” Jenna couldn’t hide her joy as she paid more attention to the news, continued to watch with excitement written on her face as she saw Damian’s squeezed face…

As soon as Alpha Ryker stepped out of his company a group of paparazzi swarmed around him.

“Alpha, may I ask why you bought that site at the price of two billion USD?”

“You are never interested in properties like this yet you bought it without letting your brother have any. Are you trying to fight your brother indirectly? Is this because of the strange woman? Is it true that you are married now?”

Alpha Ryker turned to the camera with a cold demeanor leaving them frightened as most of them shifted backward.

Chase stepped in at that moment before he caused havoc.

“The Alpha has bought that site for an unreleased production, the details will be communicated later.” And as for the wife, there is no wife yet.

“What!” Jenna screamed in shock the moment she found out how much he spent just to torture Damian.

She was speechless but at the same time hurt that the Alpha was hiding her away from the public.

Just then a black BMW drove to where Alpha Ryker was standing.

He got into the car and the BMW left immediately in a line of six other luxurious cars containing a few of his security guards.

“Alpha, you have to come up with a plan on how to use the site now to avoid tongues wagging,” Chase said to him as soon as they moved.

But Ryker couldn’t care less. “Let it be for now, anyone who has a problem with it should come and confront me.”

Chase was left speechless. He had never seen his friend investing in something he wasn’t willing to use at the moment but he did for a woman. “There must be something wrong,” Chase muttered to himself.

Ryker laughed hilariously. “He could read Chase’s. She’s got nothing on me.” He said to chase.

It was late in the evening when Mrs Anderson and some maids stood outside the villa waiting for Alpha Ryker to come home.

The BMW convoy drove in as soon as the gate was opened.

“Welcome home, Alpha.” Mrs Anderson greeted as soon as Ryker stepped out of the car. “Congratulations on winning the site.”

Ryker nodded to acknowledge her without paying much attention to what Mrs Anderson was saying his eyes were focused on Jenna’s dim room.

“Is she sleeping?” Ryker asked.

“I’m not so sure she has slept yet,” she’s been eagerly waiting for you to come home the moment she learned that you purchased the site. I think she wants to thank you for it.

He walked elegantly into the luxurious living room with elegant chandeliers, and ornate furnishings that exuded an air of sophistication. “The high ceilings and intricate details gave a sense of majesty and splendor that was fit for royalty and it spoke his class!”

Alpha Ryker stared at the petite figure that was lying on the sofa already asleep and a smile crept on his face as he turned to one of the maids.

“Has she had dinner yet?”

“Not at all Alpha, she insisted on waiting for you to return so you can have dinner together,” she replied a little bit scared noticing the change on his face.

“Did you forget that she’s pregnant and should not be starving?” he snarled at her.

“I’m so…. I’m sorry Alpha,” she stuttered as her palms felt sweaty knowing she might get fired for this mistake.

“Who is in charge of the kitchen!?” he raged and Mrs Anderson rushed to the living room the moment she heard

his voice.

Is there a problem, Alpha? She asked unsure of what might have pissed him off just now as she stared at the maid who was already on her knees.

“Do you remember she is pregnant with my child and you let her sleep without having dinner?” he asked Mrs Anderson calmly. She was like a mother to him and he never shouts at her.

“My apologies Alpha, I never expected her to sleep already.”

“This maid is fired!” he growled causing tears to pour out of her eyes. “Leave my presence this minute!”

Mrs Anderson signaled to her to leave first.
