Back when Julian was in Riverdale, the guy who’d promised to hand over the info suddenly vanished right as he and Derrick were about to move on to the next step of their plan.

Julian sent people everywhere to track him down, but they came up empty-handed.

That afternoon, Julian was at home, going over the acquisition data with Derrick online, when he got a call from the guy who’d been missing for days.

The guy said he’d been snatched by Nexterra Resources, but he’d finally managed to escape. He begged Julian to come get him right away and promised to hand over the info in person.

After hanging up, Julian rushed out of the apartment, leaving his computer running and only grabbing his phone on the way out.

When Julian got to the spot the guy had sent him, he realized it was a total setup: Nexterra Resources had used the guy’s call to lure him out, planning to finish him off and cover their tracks.

At the same time, while Julian was out, Nexterra Resources sent someone to break into his place and snoop around his computer. Luckily, Derrick noticed Julian had gone offline and immediately wiped all the crucial files before they could get their hands on anything.

But that move also tipped them off that Julian wasn’t working alone. So Derrick had to lie low and disappear for a while to keep his involvement secret.

Sophia said, “When Julian was being chased down, he accidentally fell into the sea. They thought he wouldn’t make it out alive and just left him for dead.

“But by some miracle, some villagers found him and got him to a small county hospital just in time.”
