448 Chapter 448
448.Chapter 448
May didn’t keep Sophia waiting in the lobby for long. “Babe, I’m so tired. If you hadn’t called me for breakfast, I honestly wouldn’t have left my room.”
Sophia smiled warmly.
“Come on, May, enjoy your vacation. Let’s go grab your favorite food,” Sophia said.
They left the hotel and wandered around, scrolling through foodie posts on social media, and ended up at an Instagrammable Restaurant.
“Wait, Virginia is Easton’s mom? For real?” May practically shouted, totally stunned.
Luckily, they were abroad, so no one recognized them or understood what they were saying.
“Easton and his mom aren’t close. When I was with the Foster family, nobody ever brought her up. So running into her today really threw me off. Turns out she has remarried and is living in Haverton now,” Sophia said.
This was the first time May had ever heard Sophia talk about her ex-mother-in-law.
“She didn’t make things difficult for you, did she?” May asked.
Sophia shook her head.
“So now that your partnership with Suncrest Holdings is moving into Cambul, does that mean Virginia’s about to return to Jenston?” May asked..
Sophia wasn’t sure. But ever since that night when Easton opened up about his childhood, she couldn’t help but feel a deep dislike for Vivian.
She was a mother herself, and no matter how badly her marriage failed, she’d never take out her pain or negative emotions on her child.
Sophia really felt for Easton, and now she finally got why he always seemed so cold and shut off.
“Hey, Sophia, isn’t that Frank over there?” May said, pointing.
Sophia followed May’s gaze and saw Frank, with his assistant, shaking hands with another man before getting into a car.
“Wow, fate really keeps throwing you and Frank together lately,” May teased.
Sophia pressed her lips together. “Hopefully, we won’t keep bumping into each other like this. I really don’t want any more gossip about Frank and me.”
After they finished eating, they planned to grab a cab and check out some nearby attractions. But just as they got out of the car, Ryan called.
“Are you here?” May asked.
“Yeah, where are you guys? I’ll come pick you up,” Ryan said.
After hanging up, May sent Ryan their location.
“Sophia, let’s go! We should hit the mall across the street and grab some ski gear and clothes. We’re going skiing tomorrow,” May said, already pulling Sophia along.
By the time Ryan got to the mall, it was already dark. He saw May and Sophia coming out and rushed over to grab their bags for them.
“You guys get in the car first. I’ll put the stuff in the trunk,” Ryan said.

The three of them made their way to a luxury hotel in Haverton’s financial district for dinner. They had just settled in when Frank walked into the restaurant with his assistant.
The moment Frank stepped through the door, his eyes landed right on Sophia, May, and Ryan, all sitting together at a table.
As if on cue, the three of them instinctively looked up and spotted Frank as well.
Ryan gave a half-smile. “Mr. Hayes, talk about a small world. Who would’ve thought we’d run into each other all the way out here in Haverton?”
Frank smiled, all gentlemanly, and reached out his hand “Me Howard, didn’t expect to see you here either.”
Ryan stood up and shook his hand.
“Frank, are you here on business?” Sophia asked.

Frank nodded. “Yeah. My client should be here any minute, so I’ll get going. Enjoy your meal.”
After Ryan sat back down, while Sophia and May were chatting, he shot Easton a quick text behind their backs.
Ryan: [Easton, you done with work in Cedarica yet? Frank’s actually chasing after Sophia all the way to Haverton. Bro, if you don’t show up soon, someone is stealing your wife!]
