Sybil's chest heaved violently as she gasped for air. Terrified, Wynne scrambled to get her blood pressure medication and a glass of water.

Simon stood frozen, completely blindsided by the scandalous history of the Huxley family.

Jabez remained seated on the sofa, tiredly pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Sybil, my divorce from Yvette has nothing to do with Willow. Don't take this out on her."

Hearing that, Sybil's newly medicated blood pressure threatened to skyrocket all over again.

"Jabez, you've completely lost your mind!" Sybil snapped, before suddenly changing her tune. "Fine. If you want to be with Willow Huxley, you can. But you have to agree to one condition."

"What is it?" Jabez looked up.

"You and Yvette must produce the Shelby heir. And he must be a boy. The next generation of this family will only be born to Yvette. If Willow wants to be with you, she can, but she will never be allowed to have children. You two will remain nothing more than boyfriend and girlfriend for the rest of your lives, and she will never see a single dime of the Shelby fortune."

"If she can accept that, then I won't stop you from seeing her." Sybil took a slow, deliberate sip of her tea.

"Absolutely not," Jabez rejected it without a second thought.

Wynne scoffed. "Mom, Jabez and Yvette have been married for seven years without a child. Do you really think ordering them to have one now is going to magically work?"

"Exactly, Grandma. Having a kid isn't like picking out groceries," Simon added with a nod.

"Well, then I will never approve of Willow." Having delivered her final verdict, Sybil stood up and marched out of the room.

Meanwhile.

In the Yeats family's living room, the entire family was gathered on the sofas.

Lance gave his sister, Winifred, a brief rundown of everything that had happened at the birthday banquet.

"Yvette, where exactly do you stand with Jabez now?" Helen asked, her eyes locked onto her granddaughter, overflowing with protective worry.

"Aunt Joanne, I know," Yvette nodded, her gaze unshakeable. "I don't need the Shelby name to live a good life. As for Jabez, he's been dead to me for a long time."

"Yvette, as long as you've thought this through, I support you completely," Winifred said, staring thoughtfully at the coffee table. "People get married to be happy, but sometimes, they have to get divorced to be happy, too."

The entire family felt a sharp pang of sorrow at her words.

If Winifred had married Quentin Huxley for his money, her tragic outcome would have felt like karma. But she hadn't wanted anything from him except love.

The once carefree, radiant daughter of the Yeats family had been driven to ruin by Quentin, reduced to relying on heavy medication just to function.

Helen's cloudy eyes filled with tears, knowing exactly why Winifred was saying this. She was terrified Yvette would end up just as broken as she was.

"I fully support the divorce," Lance said coldly. "Watching Wynne Farrell act like she's above Yvette makes me sick to my stomach."

"Yvette, what do you think of Matthew?" Joanne's eyes suddenly lit up. "He treats you flawlessly."
