"Come on, Willow, just tell me. I swear I won't tell another soul."
"I'm not entirely sure, but I have seen Ms. Yeats throw herself at Mr. Sutton before. They definitely act very intimate with one another."
"But as for what their exact relationship is, I really couldn't say," Willow added, making sure to leave herself an out.
"She really knows how to get a man's attention, doesn't she? The other day she tried to talk up Mr. Shelby, and when he completely ignored her, she moved right on to Mr. Sutton." Blythe muttered under her breath, "What a two-faced tramp!"
"Blythe, be careful what you say." Willow warned, glancing around cautiously to ensure Yvette wasn't nearby. Only then did she relax. "You work in Group One now. If she hears about this, she'll make your life miserable."
Blythe looked a little guilty at first, but remembering she was now good friends with Willow, she straightened her back and scoffed, "I'd like to see her try."
"Oh, you." Willow chuckled, shaking her head.
It wasn't until 3:00 PM that Blythe finally returned to work in Group One.
Yvette and the rest of the team saw her walk in but didn't say a word.
Of course, Yvette could feel the sheer malice radiating from Blythe, but she wasn't a masochist. She wasn't going to go out of her way to look for trouble.
Matthew liked Blythe even less, while Zachary Zimmerman was a loner by nature. He was always cold and aloof, never going out of his way to get close to anyone.
When they got busy, time flew by.
Yvette finally stretched her arms and realized it was already past quitting time. She started packing up her things.
By now, she and Matthew were the only ones left in the lab.
"I'll stay behind to tidy up and check their restoration logs. You go ahead and head home," Matthew offered considerately, noticing she was in a rush.
"Let me run to the restroom first," Yvette said, turning and heading out.
Blythe, who had forgotten her keys, walked back in just in time to see Matthew holding their restoration logs.
She frowned. Reviewing the logs was supposed to be Yvette's job.
