Whether he would regret it or not, she didn't care anymore.

The only thing that mattered was that she had managed to hide it from him.

Breathing a sigh of relief, she left the hospital and drove to the Azure Atelier.

That evening.

Serenity Lounge.

Milton Graham held Nola Graham's little hand as they pushed the door open.

"Princess Nola is here! Trent got a present specially for you. Come see if you like it."

Trent Sterling presented a snow globe like it was a grand treasure and placed it in front of Nola.

Inside the globe, Snow White wore a beautiful dress, dancing gracefully to the music.

Snow White was Nola's absolute favorite story. She let out a delighted cheer. "Thank you, Trent!"

"You're very welcome," Trent tilted his head with a grin.

Milton's brown eyes filled with warmth and amusement.

The three of them walked over to the sofas and sat down.

"Jabez!" Nola ran over to Jabez Shelby and threw herself into his arms.

Jabez caught her smoothly, effortlessly scooping up her soft, sweet-smelling little body.

His normally cold expression melted into something gentle. "You look beautiful today, Nola."

"You look super handsome too! In my heart, you're only a tiny bit less handsome than my dad," Nola said cheekily, holding up her fingers to show a tiny gap.

"What about me?" Trent feigned a wounded expression.

"You're not as handsome as Jabez," Nola stated before burying her face bashfully into Jabez's chest.

Jabez and Milton burst out laughing at her bluntness.

Trent looked thoroughly betrayed. "Jabez, have you been bribing her behind my back? Why does she like you so much?"

"I'm just better-looking than you," Jabez smirked, his flawless face looking even more striking.

What if she filed for divorce through the courts?

Putting aside the formidable legal team backing the Shelby Group, the sheer amount of time a lawsuit would take made it an impossible option.

"Bark! Bark!"

A ferocious dog's bark snapped Yvette out of her thoughts.

She turned her head and saw a massive Cane Corso—standing almost three feet tall—baring its teeth and snarling at a little girl just a few yards away.

The little girl stood frozen in place, seemingly too terrified to even react.

The massive dog took a menacing step toward her.

As soon as Yvette processed the danger, she frantically scanned her surroundings for a weapon.

She spotted a heavy plastic toy sword abandoned in the grass. She sprinted over and grabbed it.

Her heart pounded violently against her ribs, beating so fast she could hardly breathe.

The little girl finally snapped out of her shock and screamed, "Dad! Daddy, help me!"
