Ace was hooked. He handed her a phone. “If you try to play me, you’re dead!”

Amelia grabbed the phone and dialed Selena’s number. Selena was still sick with worry over Amelia’s disappearance and answered with a totally drained voice.

“Hello? Who is this?”

Amelia didn’t even try to lower her voice. She asked casually, “Girl, when Evelyn was at your place, didn’t she say Ace was a castrated freak?”

Selena was totally confused for a second, but she caught on fast. “Yeah! Evelyn wouldn’t shut up about it! She was calling Ace a mega psycho, saying he peeked at his mom in the shower at three, spied on the neighbors at five, groped a homeless guy as a teenager…”

While rattling off the fake stories, Selena frantically signaled Harrison to track Amelia’s number immediately.

Ace’s face turned uglier by the second. He aggressively snatched the phone away from Amelia. “Enough! Shut the f*ck up!”

Instantly, Ace felt a rush of heat gathering in his lower abdomen, slowly pulsing outward.

But the sensation only lasted a few seconds before completely vanishing.

Ace glared viciously at Amelia. “What the hell was that?! Why did it go away?!”

“Stop playing games and spit it out!” A flash of desperate urgency appeared in Ace’s eyes.

“This treatment requires another woman to complete the process. I told you to bring Evelyn, but you wouldn’t listen.”

Right back to square one. Ace paced around the bed, thinking hard. After a long minute, he checked the chains on Amelia one last time, then grabbed his men and walked out.

A short while later, a heavily bruised Evelyn was dragged in and dumped right in front of Amelia.
