Ride With Me novel Paige and Jace by Kylie K Chapter 199
CHAPTER 117-1
The motorcycle engine disappeared into the distance before anyone moved, and the sudden silence that followed felt worse than the noise.
Diesel stood at the edge of the trees, barking toward the direction the motorcycle had gone, while Jace kept one arm stretched in front of me.
“Stay here.” Jace said.
I nodded, although every part of me wanted to know what was inside that SUV
Derek approached from the opposite side of the road, and he stopped several feet away from the vehicle.
“Nobody touch the doors yet.” Derek said and Jace nodded.
“Check the ground first.” Jace said.
Derek crouched down and studied the dirt around the SUV, while Mason moved the children farther away with the other adults.
I watched Derek work and my stomach tightened when I noticed the tire tracks leading away from the
vehicle.
“They were here recently.” He said as Jace looked toward the road.
“How recently?” Jace asked.
“Hard to say, but the tracks haven’t been washed out.”/Derek said.
Derek moved closer to the driver’s side and examined the open door.
“There are no obvious signs of a struggle.” Derek said.
“Then why leave the vehicle?” I asked and Derek looked at me.
“Maybe because they knew we’d find it.” He said and that thought made my stomach drop as Jace glanced at me.
“Stay with Emma.” He said.
“I don’t want to.” I said.
“I know.” He said.
“I’m not leaving you.” I said. He sighed, but he didn’t argue.
Derek carefully opened the driver’s door wider, and he immediately looked inside.
“There’s something here.” Derek said and Jace stepped closer.
“What?” Jace asked as Derek reached inside and pulled out a pair of gloves that had been left on the seat.
He inspected them before placing them into a clear plastic bag.

CHAPTER
“Anything else?” Jace asked as Derek checked beneath the driver’s seat.
Nothing.” Derek said as he opened the back door.
I couldn’t see what he was looking at, but his expression changed.
“Jace.” Derek said.
“What?” Jace asked.
“Come here.” Derek said so Jace walked over.
I stayed several feet behind them, although I could still see inside the SUV.
Derek reached beneath the rear seat and pulled out a black duffel bag and he placed it on the ground.
“Don’t open that yet.” Derek said as Jace nodded.
Derek carefully unzipped it and my heart started beating faster.
Inside were several folders, a camera, two phones, and a stack of photographs.
Derek lifted the photographs first and he looked at the top one and then he looked at Jace.
“You need to see this.” Derek said so Jace took it.
His expression hardened and I stepped closer.
“What is it?” I asked.
He didn’t answer immediately and Derek handed another photograph to him. Then another and Jace looked through them silently.
Finally, he turned toward me.
“They’ve been watching Lawson Customs.” He said and I felt cold despite the warm afternoon.
“What?” I asked as he handed me one.
Clades
The photograph showed me standing outside the garage. It had been taken from across the street and I stared at it.
“When was this?” I asked as Derek looked at the corner.
“Two weeks ago.” He said.
My fingers tightened around the photograph as I looked through the others.
There was one of Ben working on a motorcycle. Another showed Mia walking into the office. Another showed the front entrance. Then I saw one of Jace.
He was standing outside Lawson Customs beside his motorcycle and I looked at him.
