“You can have as much as you need.” He said and I studied him carefully.

There was no argument in his expression, and there was no demand for immediate forgiveness.

For the first time, Charles wasn’t trying to control the outcome. He was simply accepting it.

“I should be thanking you.” He said.

“For what?” I asked.

“For giving me the opportunity to make things right.” He said and I looked toward the workshop.
