Chapter 148: Vile
Sasha’s pov
“What are you still doing here?” Dante asked me in the morning, and I smiled.

“I have decided that I don’t want to leave anymore. My daughter is still alive,” I answered with a
smile.
I watched how he looked at me and then sighed.
“She will grow up one day and realize the kind of vile person you are,” he said, and then just shrugged.
“Actually, she might be very young, but I think she has. Doesn’t it hurt your feelings? Your daughter calls someone else Mommy,” he asked me, and I just smirked.
“Not really, actually, I am glad that she does. Which means that Jade will do anything to save her life. And for as long as Dove lives here, I will also be here,” I answered.
He was about to say something when Felix suddenly appeared with a treasure box.
A small one that seemed ancient and must have held something important.
Is that the dagger that they were talking about?
The one that they will use to take away the madman’s power?
They don’t know who he is yet, but I have figured it out and I will use it to kill him.
I am a genius.
Uncle never paid much attention to us, but he always paid attention to Jade.
Back then, I didn’t find anything weird with it, but now I see it.
He always looked at me in a bad way, but looked at Jade like she was the light of the world.
I remember back then, that time when Jade was blind and also temporarily paralyzed, and she
couldn’t move.
I locked her in her room to teach her a lesson back then.
She had the nerve of making me look like some kind of loser a few days before, and I wanted my
revenge.
Flashback:
The door to Jade’s room was completely open, and I walked in.

“Who is there?” she asked me, and I didn’t answer and just walked towards her.
I watched as she looked around and kept asking who it was.
She kept calling out names like someone was going to answer.
I looked at her, everyone acts like she is so great, but I don’t see it at all.
If I were the one going through this training, then this wouldn’t have happened to me.
I would have breezed through it, but they chose her, and now this is the price.
And that’s not the only problem; she likes to give me her little bread crumbs.
A few days ago, the elders of the Coven were having dinner with our family.
They were talking about how great Jade and she had the nerve to include me.
She made me seem pathetic as she tried to explain to them that I have my achievements too.
She was rubbing her success in my face, and I will make her pay for it.
I pushed her off the bed and smiled as I heard her groan in pain.
I walked away and then locked her bedroom door.
But before that, I made a silence spell so that no one could hear her screams.
“Is everything okay? I thought that I heard a sound,” Aunt said, and I nodded at this.

“It’s fine, Jade just had lunch and she said that she is tired. She is sleeping now,” I answered, and
Aunt nodded as she looked at the door.
“You are a good older sister,” she said and patted my head before walking off.
I went back to my room and got ready for my
date.
I will continue to do this until Mom and Dad come back.
Jade needs to starve a little as punishment for what she did to me.
I got ready and went on my date, and everything was just fine.
As I was coming back, I really wanted to see her on the ground crying again.
I walked towards her room and found the door wide open.
Jade was on the bed, and her uncle was sitting in a chair next to her.
“I can’t believe that they did that,” Jade said with a chuckle, and her uncle laughed along with her.

“Yes, your cousins are trouble,” he said and then looked at me.
“Come on, Jade, just one last bite,” he said, and Jade nodded.
He handed her a chicken nugget, and she ate it.
He then helped her drink some water and fluff her pillow for her.

“Have a good night, kiddo. I will tell your Aunt to come and help you with everything else tomorrow,
he said, and Jade smiled at this.
“Thank you, Uncle, I am sorry if I interrupted your work,” Jade said, and he just shook his head.
He realized that she couldn’t see him.
“I would drop anything for you, kiddo, you are our precious Jade after all,” he said.
He walked out of the room, and I followed him.
“Thank you so much, Uncle, I was running a little late,” I said, and he looked at me and then scoffed.
“Cut the act, Sasha, you might fool everyone in this house, but not me. I can see looking at you that
you are nothing but a vile child,” he said, and I just stood there frozen.
“Pushing your sister, leaving her in her room to starve, and making sure people don’t realize it. That is something only a vile person can do,” he said, and then sighed.
I was about to deny it and act innocent, but he raised his hand.
“If you do something like that again. Then I will make you regret it, your parents won’t find out
about this. But if you continue with these vile actions of yours, will not let it go,” he said and then
walked off.
End of flashback
Uncle was always someone who kept a safe distance even from his own family.
Always cold and busy, but he took his time just to look after Jade.
What other explanation could there be?
I heard a commotion downstairs and I rushed to check what was happening.
I watched as all my family members kept pouring into the place.
I watched how they were all so happy seeing Jade like she was some angel.
Everyone was bowing down to her like they always do.
“Uncle,” Jade said as she hugged the tall man with long blond hair.

“Hello, precious Jade,” he said and then kissed her head.
“Excuse me, I need to make a call,” he said and then walked off.
I followed him and found him smoking.
He was about to put it out when he saw that it was me, and then continued.
“You are him, aren’t you? You are the madman,” I said with a smile.
I was about to add something when someone turned me around and slapped me.
I looked at Jade.
What is she doing here?
And why on earth did she slap me?
“What vile words did you just utter?” she asked me, and I froze in place.
Vile, I have been hearing that word a lot lately.
Am I really that vile?
