I looked at Jade who was confused and didn’t know what to say.

“I am not answering that,” she said and I sighed at this.

“I told you she liked me better. That is why she isn’t answering, to spare your feelings,” Onyx said.

Ever since I woke up he has been boosting and I honestly can’t take it.

“From now on, I will take the lead so you don’t bore her to death,” he added.

“You need to answer Jade, who do you like more?” I asked her and watched how she sighed.

“Can’t you see the position you are putting me in? You don’t see me asking you who is the best you

ever had,” she retorted.

“Ask me then, then I will answer in a heartbeat that it is you,” I added.

I watched as her eyes widened at what I said.

It isn’t a lie, damn I don’t want to sound cringy or anything but last night was the best night of my

life.

Again, even at the risk of being cheesy, she is the best I have ever had.

I looked at her and watched as she sighed at this.

“It’s different,” she whispered and I looked at her confused.

“Dante, you are gentle and considerate. I love that, it makes me feel safe and cared for,” she

explained.

“See, she likes me,” I said to Onyx who just scoffed.

“And Onyx, he is a bit on the rough side and I weirdly liked that too,” she added and I frowned.

“Look at that, she likes me too,” Onyx said and I sighed.

“But who is better?” I asked her and she sighed.

“I don’t know, you are all really good. And I think that you balance each other,” she explained.

“It was refreshing to have a change of pace. Do I need to choose when I want both of you?” she

asked.

Her brown eyes landed on me and I felt myself blush a little at this.

“You want both of us?” I asked her and she smiled as she pulled me closer to her.

is better, maybe we should do a challenge. Let’s see who can make me c*m the most,” she added

with a smirk.

This little vixen is provoking us on purpose and I am not saying I mind.

“Be careful what you ask for Jade,” I warned and she smiled as she looked at me.

Everything just seems effortless with her.

I like seeing her smile, I like hearing her laugh and I could listen to her voice every day.

“What Dante? Are you cowering already?” she asked me with a smile.

“I don’t cower,” I retorted.

I don’t know how much time went by but I looked at my beautiful wife.

She was breathless and had this huge grin on her face.

I don’t know how to describe this feeling.

I feel content, I am content but I also still want more.

Like I am full but I could still eat but only if Jade is the meal.

I kissed her forehead and then walked to the bathroom.

I filled the bathtub with water and then came back and then picked her up.

She is strong I will give her that, she managed to somewhat keep up with me and Onyx.

It reminds me of what Mr Jones said the other night when I went to see him.

Am I just overthinking all of this?

Flashback

“Are you dissatisfied with your relationship with your mate?” he asked me and I nodded.

“Come to think of it, I have never been content with my mate,” I answered and he looked at me

confused.

“How do I say this? She can’t keep up with my stamina. And since she isn’t a werewolf, even my

wolf isn’t happy at all,” I tried to explain.

I watched as he seemed to be deep in thought.

looked at me.

“My mate, we have been married for almost 30 years. I have been content in all those years. Your

mate is someone who is supposed to compliment you. They should complete you,” he explained. I

thought about what he just said and about Sasha.

The more he tries to explain the more I realize that something is wrong.

I never really had that strong of a bond with my own mate.

Not the kind that I have seen other people have with their mates.

At first, I thought that it was because she was a witch.

But Jade is a witch, I have a connection with Jade more than I have with my own mate.

Ever since I met her, this connection was formed the moment I met her.

It felt as if I was being pulled towards her.

But why would I be pulled towards someone who isn’t my mate?

“You want my advice?” Mr Jones asked me and I nodded.

“Stop over-thinking about things. Sasha is your mate and Jade is your wife. You will have time to figure everything out,” he explained.

“How will I figure everything out? It’s not like there is a voice that will just tell me what I need to do,”

I retorted.

“There is, that voice is called your heart. Learn to listen to your heart,” he answered.

“When things are quiet. When the world seems to have disappeared and doesn’t exist. When there

is no outside noise, that’s when your heart will talk to you,” he added and then walked off.

Jade’s head was resting on my chest and her eyes were closed.

“I want kids with you,” I said and she opened her eyes to look at me.

“That is why I am here,” she retorted with a chuckle.

“That is not what I mean. I never really wanted to have kids, after what my father did. I was scared that I wouldn’t be a good father as well,” I explained.

She was quiet and just listened and I smiled as I looked at her.

“The only reason I agreed to all of this was because it was you,” I told her.

I watched how her eyes widened and she looked at me clearly shocked.

“You were right, I could have put a stop to it. I could have married anyone else, but I agreed because it was you,” I explained.

She didn’t move and she didn’t say anything but just kept staring at me.

“I knew it was wrong, taking a second wife. Being with someone who wasn’t my mate was

everything I didn’t want. But the moment your name was mentioned I got swayed,” I added.

She was quiet, oh gosh, is she angry with me?

Why did I have to ruin the moment like that?
