Dante's wrist was forced open, and his eyes snapped upward.

His sharp, predatory gaze locked onto the man who had suddenly appeared.

Raymond was tall and broad-shouldered. Standing in front of Dante, he didn't just hold his own—his presence surged forward with an overwhelming, oppressive dominance that screamed for everyone to keep their distance.

Especially now, as he smoothly stepped in to shield Quinn behind his back.

His broad back entirely blocked her from Dante's aggressive posturing.

Dante's eyes went dark, his gaze riveted on Raymond before snapping back to Quinn's face.

His voice was cold, rigid, and dripping with undisguised displeasure.

"I'm asking you, who is he?"

The question was loaded with surging hostility, like a storm threatening to break.

Beside him, Vivienne looked completely caught off guard.

Who was this man? When did Quinn get someone like this hovering around her?

Quinn rotated her reddened wrist, massaging where Dante had bruised her, and threw him a dismissive look.

"Who he is has absolutely nothing to do with you."

He was parading his precious first love all over town, but the second another man stood next to her, he was interrogating her like he'd caught her cheating.

Wasn't that just hilarious?

Vivienne glanced at Dante, then asked timidly, "Quinn, this isn't your new boyfriend, is it?"

Hearing that, Dante's glare turned even more freezing, his lips pressed into a tight, furious line.

He was waiting for her to explain.

Instead, Quinn stepped out from behind Raymond's protective shadow, a bright smile on her face. She met Dante's stare head-on, her voice crisp and indifferent.

"That's right. He's with me."

"Quinn." Dante's jaw tightened dangerously, his eyes practically trying to dissect her. "If you want to make me angry, you don't need to use a tactic like this."

Seeing that he didn't believe her, Quinn reached out, sliding her hand through the crook of the man's solid arm, leaning her body slightly against his side.

"I'm not trying to make you angry. He's just better looking than you, and he's built better than you."

It wasn't exactly a lie.

Pressed against his forearm, Quinn could clearly feel the dense, powerful tension of his muscles radiating right through his shirt.

Quinn waited until their pleasantries ended and the pair finally walked away before she made her move.

Seeing Quinn still lingering, Vivienne scoffed, "Quinn, why are you still here?"

She tilted her head up and smiled sweetly at Dante. "Dante, thank you so much. If you hadn't introduced me, I doubt Ms. Quincy would have even given me the time of day."

"Quinn, Ms. Quincy just complimented my work! She said my designs are really worth refining."

"Is that so? Well, congratulations."

Seeing Vivienne deliberately blocking her path, Quinn knew exactly what she was playing at. Refusing to waste another breath on her, she bypassed them both and hurried after Lillian Quincy.

Lillian and her assistant walked incredibly fast. In a matter of seconds, they had exited the venue and slid into their waiting car.

Desperate, Quinn called out, "Ms. Quincy!"

The assistant immediately stepped back out of the car. "Can I help you?"

"I'd just like a few words with Ms. Quincy. I promise I won't take up much of her time."

In the backseat, Lillian kept her eyes closed, resting her head against the seat. She didn't even turn her head.

The assistant was used to hordes of designers begging for an audience and replied coldly, "Ms. Quincy has a press conference shortly. Her schedule is incredibly tight. Try again another time."
