Catching Quinn's intense stare, Vivienne visibly panicked and hurriedly lowered the thermos.
Quinn pulled her sharp, piercing gaze away and stepped into the elevator.
Vivienne immediately followed her inside.
"Quinn, Dante's stomach issue isn't a big deal. He should be discharged the day after tomorrow. So it won't ruin our vacation at all."
Quinn's expression stiffened for a fraction of a second. Vacation?
Vivienne reminisced about the other day when Dante's assistant had driven her home. Right before she got out of the car, she had caught a glimpse of him booking flights.
She knew in her heart that Dante was definitely planning a massive surprise for her.
"We're going to the Maldives! Dante knows how much I love the ocean and blue skies, so he planned this trip just for us. I even heard he completely cleared his schedule for the entire week next week. Honestly, he spoils me too much!"
Quinn's expression turned frigid. In three days, their divorce agreement was supposed to be finalized, and he was taking a vacation?
Seeing Quinn freeze, Vivienne assumed her words had struck a nerve, and her smile widened into something sickeningly bright.
"Quinn, even though Dante is still furious with you, if you really want to see him, we can go in together."
"Vivienne, has anyone ever told you that you never shut up?"
"Did I ever say I was here to see Dante? Get over yourself."
Too exhausted to entertain Vivienne's delusional theatrics any longer, Quinn stepped off the elevator the second it reached her floor.
After receiving IV fluids the night before, Dante's acute stomach cramps had finally subsided, leaving behind only a dull, throbbing ache.
He pulled out his phone. The screen was completely blank—not a single missed call from Quinn, not even a basic text message checking in on him.
His assistant, having just gotten off a call with Mabel, walked over to report to him.
"Mr. Hayes, Mabel said Mrs. Hayes left the house first thing this morning. She's likely on her way here to visit you."
Dante's eyes instantly turned terrifyingly dark, as if coated in a thick, lethal layer of frost.
So she was literally in the hospital, and she still hadn't bothered to come see him?
Quinn was there to see a gynecologist.
The last time she was in the ER, the doctor had recommended she follow up with gynecology, mentioning that their herbal regimens were highly effective for regulating cycles.
She wanted to properly balance her health before her next cycle began.
After all, if she was going to dominate the design world in the future, she needed to be in peak physical condition.
After picking up her prescription, Quinn drove straight back to the Hayes villa.
The second she walked through the door, Leo ran over and wrapped his arms around her legs.
"Mommy!"
