“Bullshit!” Fiona rudely cut Dominic off.
“If cancer could be prevented, everyone on Earth would live to be two hundred!”
Without giving Dominic a chance to argue, Fiona glanced at Spencer and continued, “The way I see it, Mr. Halevy is just using your Hale Health Center as a front. He’s trying to scam as much money as he can, one customer at a time.”
Fiona’s shouting made the clients who had been considering placing an order hesitate.
Spencer couldn’t let someone slander his company like this.
“That’s nonsense! All of the Halevy Group’s products are certified by authoritative bodies like the national regulatory agency and ISO. They aren’t some shady, uncertified products…”
“Everyone knows your family has connections on both sides of the law. Getting a certification would be child’s play for you.”
Fiona and Spencer argued relentlessly.
Evelyn watched the show from the sidelines, feeling utterly delighted.
Wasn’t this project the one Melanie had pushed for?
Wasn’t it the one Dominic and Gregory valued so much?
She was determined to see it fail.
She wanted it to end its opening day without a single client.
Fiona was a good acquaintance of hers; Evelyn had often intentionally lost money to her at the card table.
On top of that, Novarison Pharmaceuticals Plant was already hostile toward the Halevy Group, so Fiona was more than happy to help.
Fiona had always been arrogant and domineering. As long as she caused a big enough scene to drive away all the new store’s clients, Melanie would never be able to hold her head high in the Hale family again.
Evelyn’s scheme was perfectly calculated.
And events were unfolding just as she had planned.
Guests began to leave the store one by one.
“No wonder Novarison Pharmaceuticals Plant’s sales have been crushed by the Halevy Group for five years straight. You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Suddenly, most of the lights in the store went out.
