She Left She Thrived She’s Worth Billions novel Chapter 394

On Saturday, Aldoria's highly anticipated annual Medical Expo officially opened its doors.

As an industry titan, the Royce Group had completely monopolized the prime center booth.

Normally, she wouldn't have thought twice about this placement.

The company had always secured the best spot in previous years.

But this year was entirely different. She had outright rejected Vice President Douglas's disgusting advances, and he had been beaten to a pulp.

She had fully expected him to retaliate and bury the Royce Group in the worst corner of the expo.

“Hey, did you hear? That Douglas guy...”

Two executives from a rival firm were gossiping nearby, quickly catching her attention.

She immediately tuned in to listen.

“Yeah, I heard. He got completely fired.”

Her eyes widened in absolute shock.

“But isn't his father-in-law a huge government director? That's the only reason he was so arrogant in the first place.”

“I don't know the details. Rumor is he pissed off someone with major power. Honestly, he's lucky his father-in-law didn't get dragged down with him.”

Taking in the massive piece of gossip, her eyes naturally drifted across the aisle.

Right diagonally across from them was the Stellaris PharmaTech booth.

The man she found herself staring at was none other than the commanding, intimidating force who always managed to dominate every room he stood in—

Preston.

If she remembered correctly, Aria had recently transferred him to the Stellaris PharmaTech headquarters. There was no logical reason for him to be stationed at a public expo.

Then again, the inner workings of Stellaris PharmaTech were none of her business.

She watched him simply stand there, looking like an incredibly gorgeous, silent bodyguard guarding their booth.

Was he honestly just deployed here as eye candy because he was so strikingly handsome?

She tilted her head, highly amused by the thought.

But deep down, what truly bothered her was the news about Douglas's sudden firing.

He had sexually harassed her, and immediately after, his entire career imploded.

It was way too massive of a coincidence to ignore.

And the only person who had intervened that night was Preston.

But could he really be the one behind the firing?

She furrowed her brow. It just didn't make sense. He was just an employee; he simply didn't have that kind of executive power.

Then Dominic had randomly sent her a ridiculously expensive Birkin.

And now Bryant was showing up with a gift.

Sensing her hesitation, he quickly stepped in to clarify.

“It's nothing extravagant, I promise. I didn't want to make you uncomfortable, so it's just a preserved floral arrangement. I thought it would look nice on your new desk.”

Hearing that, she finally relaxed.

“If it's just desk decor, I'll gladly accept. Thank you, Bryant. I actually really need something to brighten up the office.”

From across the aisle, Preston watched the entire exchange in absolute silence.

He saw the bright smile on her face as she willingly accepted another man's gift.

His hands, clad in white silk gloves, curled into tight fists, straining the fabric to its breaking point.

He hated watching her accept things from other men.

But there was absolutely nothing he could do.

He didn't have the right to intervene. Not yet, anyway.

Just as that dark thought crossed his mind, another figure aggressively inserted himself right into her personal space.
