She Left She Thrived She’s Worth Billions novel Chapter 637

Melanie gasped in shock.

The young man's face was mere inches from hers. His skin was incredibly pale, practically glowing against his silver-white hair. He had a naturally handsome, friendly look, especially with the perpetual slight curve of his lips that made him seem like he was always smiling.

But as Melanie looked into his eyes, she froze.

His eyes were pitch black, just as deep and unfathomable as Preston's. Despite his youth, there was no trace of boyish innocence in that gaze. Instead, she saw a calculating, predatory intensity that completely contradicted his cheerful facade.

It was deeply unsettling.

She frowned, overwhelmed by the eerie dissonance of his presence. Just as she braced herself to shove him away, he leaned in, hovering a fraction of an inch from her cheek, and took a deep breath.

He didn't actually touch her, but the intimate, invasive gesture was pure creep behavior. If he hadn't been so impeccably dressed, Melanie would have already called the cops.

"You smell like alcohol, Angel... You can't drive like this. Let me take you home."

He said it so casually, as if they were old friends.

Melanie scoffed, violently shoving him back. "You're a little too green to hit on me, kid. The line of men waiting to take me home stretches all the way to Paris. Go wait your turn."

She spun on her heel and marched toward the door.

Afraid the guy would keep harassing her, Daphne quickly grabbed Melanie's hand. "Come on, I haven't been drinking. I'll drive your car and take you home."
