She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 134

Luna pushed her brother's hand away and ran out of the bedroom as fast as her little legs could carry her.

Grabbing her mother's hand, she pleaded in her sweet, milky voice, "Mommy, please let Caleb go to the competition! He's super amazing! A lot of older kids couldn't beat him. Even the big eight- and nine-year-olds aren't as smart or as fast as him."

Luna tilted her little head, her long eyelashes fluttering as her eyes curved into adorable little crescents. Her tone was full of excitement.

"Yara said if he wins, there will be lots and lots of money."

"Caleb just wants to win the prize money so Mommy doesn't have to work so hard anymore."

Realizing her son was so young yet already trying to ease her burdens and provide for her, Quinn felt a sharp pang of sorrow in her heart.

Luna's soft little hands clung to Quinn's, shaking them gently. Her expression was entirely serious and endearing as she spoke with a soft lisp.

"Mommy, please let him go to the finals!"

"Caleb..."

Quinn saw her son lingering by the door frame. He had stepped out to pull his sister back but retreated guiltily.

Her heart ached, and tears prickled the corners of her eyes.

Hearing his mother call him, Caleb walked over with his head bowed, looking like a baby who had done something terribly wrong.

"Mommy, if you don't want me to keep competing, then I won't go. Mommy, please don't cry."

Caleb thought his mother was upset that he had hidden the truth and secretly signed up for the competition with Yara.

Quinn pulled him into her embrace, gently stroking his back as she spoke in a warm, soothing voice.

"Caleb, you really want to compete, don't you?"

Caleb hesitated. Afraid of making her sad, he kept his head down and stayed quiet.

"As long as you want to do it, Mommy will let you. I'll even go with you to cheer you on."

Caleb's sharp eyes instantly lit up, filled with bright, starry anticipation and sheer surprise.

He looked up slightly, his little face painted with disbelief. "Really? Mommy really says I can go?"

"When has Mommy ever lied to you?"

"Yay! Mommy said Caleb can compete!"
