"Alright, Luna, Caleb, let's get you in the car."
Stacy Jarvis watched the two children leave and immediately called Yara Chase to inform her that a Mr. Hunter had picked them up.
By the time Quinn returned home, over two hours had passed. Not seeing the kids anywhere, she assumed Stacy had taken them to the park.
She called Stacy, who sounded confused. "Ms. Avery, didn't Ms. Chase tell you? A Mr. Hunter picked the kids up a few hours ago. He said he was taking them to Regency Bay to play in the castle."
Quinn's heart sank instantly. The kids were taken to Regency Bay?
Panic rising in her voice, she demanded, "When did this happen?"
Stacy repeated that it was over two hours ago and mentioned that Yara had given her the rest of the day off.
Quinn hastily hung up the phone and dialed Yara while rushing toward Regency Bay.
"Yara, Miles went behind my back and sent Hunter to take the kids to Regency Bay! I never agreed to this."
Yara's tone changed immediately. "What? Quinn, I thought you already agreed?"
"Things changed, and I forgot to tell you. I was planning to explain everything when I got back. I never imagined Miles would send Hunter straight to Fairview Apartments to take them behind my back."
Guilt flooded Yara's voice. "Quinn, this is my fault. I should have called you to double-check."
"It's not your fault. I just didn't expect Miles to bypass me entirely and have Hunter pretend I had given permission."
"I'm heading to Regency Bay now. I'll call you later."
Knowing she couldn't properly explain the situation over the phone, and terrified that her children were being bullied by Jade and her son, she hung up and immediately dialed Miles.
But the man, as if knowing she was calling to rip into him, blatantly ignored his phone.
He had been playing in the indoor castle at Regency Bay with the kids for almost an hour.
Luna's round face was glowing with joy, her deep dimples showing, her big, bright eyes—identical to Quinn's—curving into happy crescents.
"Hehe, Weird Uncle, I want to slide again!"

I would have accepted the jerk husband ending up with the heroine if he’s only powerful, intelligent but he’s so powerless and so stupid....
Can you make Ethan be the endgame? That Miles is a total jerk....
