He left her absolutely no room to say no, his gaze heavy with authority. "They are staying at Regency Bay for the next few days. The children's room is still being set up, so you'll take them to sleep in the master bedroom tonight. I'll take the guest room."

Quinn's knuckles turned white. She knew that if she tried to take the kids away right now, Miles would physically stop her.

Arguing with him here would only scare the children. After a moment of weighing her options, she forced her anger down and temporarily compromised.

With Leo gone, the truth slipped out effortlessly. "I love it. The play castle is the best. I love playing here."

"What about you, Caleb? Do you like it?"

Caleb liked it just as much as his sister, but since this was another man's house, he held back his true feelings.

Seeing his silence, Miles grabbed a small bowl of dessert and handed it over. "Caleb, Luna, try this. This was my favorite chestnut pastry when I was a kid."

Quinn's heart skipped a beat when she heard Luna say she liked it here.
