Deep down, Logan chastised himself severely for being such a terrible person. Then, he gave up on the idea of running a paternity test.

He picked Olivia up in a bridal carry and, moving tenderly, he brought her back to her room and laid her on the soft, large bed.

“Logie.”

Olivia held onto his arm pitifully, refusing to let go. “Can you put me to bed just like you used to when I was young? I’m scared of being by myself.”

“Sure,” Logan replied, his heart melting into a puddle.

He sat down by the side of the bed, and in a voice so gentle that it was unheard of, he continued, “Don’t worry. I will be around moving forward. I will make sure to take good care of you so you won’t have to suffer, not even for another moment. I will take good care of our son too.”

Olivia, leaning on his arms, nodded submissively. But the depths of her eyes held nothing but icy craftiness.

Liana, that bitch. How could she dare to sow discord between the two of them with just a few words, making Logan suspect that Marcus wasn’t his own son?

Olivia lifted her head and stared at Logan with a fragile gaze. Then, she changed her tune abruptly. “Logie, I really don’t want to separate you and Liana. B-but it seems like she has given up on you completely now.

“She’s even siding with Lucinda to come against me… I don’t want our son to bear the burden of being an illegitimate child for the rest of his life. When will you be able to divorce her?”

Logan stiffened up. He reached out and tucked Olivia in, then diverted the topic tenderly. ” Don’t think about it anymore. Go to sleep now. I’ll tell you a story.”

Olivia quickly sensed his avoidance. Though she closed her eyes and pretended to sleep, a storm surged within her.

Hadn’t Logan always hated Liana? Why did he hesitate the moment she brought up divorce? Could Liana still matter to him deep down?

Upon arriving at the entrance to the villa district, Liana exited the cab. The security guard on duty went up to her and welcomed her with a smile the moment he spotted her.

In a friendly manner, he greeted, “Welcome back Ms. Wade.”

Liana gave him a slight nod and entered the villa listrict. After returning to the villa that belonged to her, she first poured herself a massive glass of iced water and finished it all in a single breath. Only then did she feel like she managed to somewhat quell the rage that Logan and Olivia ignited within her.

She sat down on the couch, replaying Logan’s reaction from this evening in her mind.

The diffident look on his face when he heard her say he was raising someone else’s son was

almost confirmation to her that Olivia had told him Marcus was his son.
