Chapter 37
“May I please ask about Marcus… As in, your grandson-when exactly is his birthdate?” Liana asked.
On the other end of the call, Lucinda paused momentarily, clearly taken aback by her question. She pondered for a moment before answering, “Marc is two-and-a-half this year. He was conceived in spring three years ago and was born early the following year.”
Marcus was two-and-a-half… Liana narrowed her eyes, speedily calculating the timing in her mind.
It had been over three years since Olivia married into the Lynch family. This timing was impeccable. There was no way to determine whether Marcus was Zayn’s or Logan’s solely from the timeline.
“Mrs. Lynch.” Liana’s tone turned serious. “I would suggest that you find a way to secretly determine if Marcus is Mr. Zayn’s biological son.
“What does that even mean?” Lucinda’s shock-filled voice went up an octave instantly. “Are you saying that Olivia, that bitch, might have… might have married into the Lynch family while carrying someone else’s child?”
“I am unable to confirm that without any concrete evidence.”
Calmly, Liana analyzed, “But based on Logan’s reaction tonight, I’m afraid that there’s more to Marcus’ identity. To prevent any unforeseen circumstances in the lawsuit next month and to protect the Lynch family’s reputation, you have to get to the bottom of this.”
Lucinda fell completely silent on her end of the call. A few seconds later, her furious rage basically tore through Liana’s phone.
“Well done, Olivia! I will never spare her if she actually dared to mess with my family’s bloodline! I will send her to hell!”
“Please calm down for now, Mrs. Lynch,” Liana urged, massaging the area between her brows.
Lucinda took a few deep breaths, forcing herself to simmer down. “Alright, Ms. Wade. I got it. I’ll get someone to look into this matter immediately. Thank you for giving me the heads-up. Otherwise, I would have been fooled by that bitch!”
“You are my client. I am just doing my job.”
After ending the call, Liana sat on the couch for a really long time, completely still.
What she had thought was just a simple divorce case ended up having something to do with a child’s true identity.

If Marcus truly wasn’t a descendant of the Lynches, Lucinda’s hatred toward Olivia would reach a new height, and the legal case would just end up becoming even more complicated.
She had to make sufficient preparations beforehand.
Liana massaged the area between her brows and rose to her feet. Then, she returned to her study, where she turned her laptop on once again
She needed to draft an entirely new litigation plan to prepare for unpredictable contingencies that may arise.
The commotion on the internet lasted for several days. Logan’s team had probably utilized PR tactics to suppress the trending news forcefully.
Nevertheless, people on the internet weren’t about to forget the issue just like that. They continued posting and enthusiastically talking about the CEO of Young Corporation, his stand- in wife, and his first love across various social media groups and platforms.
Meanwhile, Liana was completely unconcerned about this matter.
