“Sure we do!” the manager replied.

He immediately retrieved a thick brochure from the counter and began enthusiastically recommending units to Liana.

“Our company has access to the best commercial properties in all of Agosta. Let us know which location you prefer and your budget. We will be able to match you with the best fit!”

Liana flipped through the brochure. She then pointed out a few of the commercial lots she had noticed online previously to request further details.

As the manager eloquently described the immense potential of one of the commercial units, a sharp, cutting female voice reached them from a distance.

“Well, well, who do we have here? Isn’t this the great Ms. Wade?”

Liana turned toward the voice, only to see a young woman dressed in Chanel’s latest outfit, with flawless, full makeup. She advanced toward Liana with her arms crossed and a mocking smirk on her face.

The woman also had two lackeys following her, carrying shopping bags of all sizes. At a glance, one could tell she was an extremely wealthy scion.

Liana stared at the face she did not recognize. Even after racking her brain, she had absolutely no recollection of who this person was.

Pamela Lynch was Olivia’s best friend and the youngest daughter of the Lynch family.

Over the last few days, Olivia had been whining to her every day, saying she was being driven to despair by the online slander, which had arisen because Liana was orchestrating things from behind the scenes.

Heartbroken for her best friend, Pamela harbored a long-standing hatred toward Liana, a housewife who had managed to survive only by relying on Logan. She believed that Liana would not be able to spare even 100 dollars after she divorced her man.

“Just look at how poor you look in your entire outfit that doesn’t even cost 500 dollars. How dare you come into a place like this? Are you just here for the air conditioning?”

Faced with such provocation for no reason, Liana simply gave Pamela a fleeting and emotionless glance, then she ignored her completely. She turned to the manager and said, “I’d like to go and have a look at the actual property that you were talking about earlier.”

Pamela turned livid in an instant after being completely disregarded like that. She raised her voice suddenly, questioning, “Liana, are you deaf? I was talking to you. Didn’t you hear me?” Liana furrowed her brows and turned her attention toward her. “May I know who you are?”

“Why, you-”

Pamela was utterly infuriated by those few words. She couldn’t believe that Liana didn’t know her.

She was a scion of the Lynch family and well-known among the Agosta elite. How could Liana actually say that she did not know who she was?

“Quit pretending, you!”

Through gritted teeth, Pamela continued, “You are just a woman who has been abandoned and chased out of the house by her husband. What gives you the right to be here?”
