Chapter 193
Chapter 193
Layla turned her head, watching the buildings of Prime City on Alpha Prime grow smaller and smaller outside the window.
She murmured to herself, “I don’t know. Maybe I was never meant to have a real home. Maybe I’m just someone who’s always drifting from place to place.”
Layla thought, ‘Fate is always messing with me.
‘It keeps handing me hope, only to snatch it away every time!
Right now, all Layla could do was pray that nothing bad would happen to Atlas and Leilani.
Inside the royal forbidden grounds of Alpha Prime Palace, Atlas stood unmoving before the icy wall.
Leilani, her voice full of worry, whispered, “They’ve locked us up here, so I doubt they’ll make a move on us just yet. Krish probably isn’t ready to burn all his bridges. So, who’s he really after?”
Atlas’s body went rigid.
He turned to her, his voice low and urgent. “Krish is going to make a move on Layla.”
Leilani froze. “Why would he target Layla? He doesn’t even want to cross you. It makes no sense.”
Atlas didn’t answer.
The truth was, chances were Krish had found out that Layla was the rebels’ leader’s daughter.
If Atlas’s guess was correct, Layla’s dad had already arrived on Alpha Prime and Krish’s men had found him.
‘Shit, Layla’s in danger, Atlas thought, his heart pounding.
Atlas glanced at the icy energy swirling around his fingertips and said in a low, urgent voice, “Mom, step back with Mollie.”
“Atlas, what are you going to do?” Leilani asked, worry clear in her voice.
“I’m going to break us out of here,” Atlas replied, his tone resolute.
Leilani didn’t bother asking how Atlas was going to bust them out. She just pulled Mollie with her and retreated to a safe spot.
She even hauled a nearby sofa over, setting it up as a barricade in front of them.
Mollie wasn’t sure what was going on, but she had absolute faith in Leilani and kept quiet.
Suddenly, the room turned freezing cold.
Atlas raised his hand, and the chill swirling around his palm spread out, turning the whole wall into a giant slab of ice.
Leilani thought she was ready, but she still gaped in shock.
She thought, totally floored, ‘Atlas actually awakened a superpower.
‘He really kept it hidden.
The next moment, with the wall frozen solid, it could no longer block a shifter’s psychic force.

Chapter 193
For an SSS Tier super shifter like Atlas, smashing through that ice wall was a piece of cake.
With a deafening boom, the so-called impenetrable forbidden grounds, meant to hold any shifter in the universe, were smashed open, leaving a massive hole in the wall.
Krish and Dakota just stood there, totally stunned by what they’d seen.
Krish’s mind went blank. ‘Atlas actually got a superpower?
‘And it’s not just any power. It’s a crazy, strong elemental superpower!’
As soon as Atlas led Leilani and the others out of the forbidden zone, the optical computer came back online. A flood of unread messages and missed calls nearly crashed Zee’s CPU.
Atlas’s voice was icy. “Zee, pull up everything about Layla.”
“Yes, sir,” Zee replied.
A few seconds later, Zee’s voice came through.
“Sir, about two hours ago, Layla and her dad went to Wastelands-9 Orphan Core. Right after, the place was blown up by the Fifth Legion. She brought her dad back home, but then the house got attacked.
“Layla contacted Colonel Roger and Colonel Gill for help while her dorm was locked down. She ultimately left Alpha Prime with her dad. Her last message arrived three minutes ago. She wants confirmation of your safety.”
When Atlas heard that Layla was safe, the fury burning inside him finally eased up, and he started thinking straight again.
“Let Layla know I’m okay. Encrypt the signal,” Atlas ordered.
“Yes,” Zee replied.
Krish definitely still had his people chasing after Layla and her dad.
If they kept constantly communicating right now, they’d risk exposing their whereabouts.
All Atlas wanted was to run straight to Layla’s side.
He wondered if Layla was hurt or not.
But Atlas knew he had to settle things here once and for all before he could/do anything else.
Masses of palace guards surged in, while tens of thousands of assault drones filled the sky overhead, their engines roaring so loud that it felt like the whole world was shaking.
Meanwhile, according to the optical computer feed, Roger and Atlas’s trusted officers had already stationed their forces at the palace gates, sealing off every possible exit.
Atlas turned to look at Leilani.
Leilani said gently, “Go do what you have to do.”
“Mom, what about you?” Atlas asked.
“I need to settle a score with someone. I’ll come find you when I’m done,” Leilani replied.
“Okay.” Atlas watched Leilani and the others leave. Then he turned and strode toward the gathered guards, his presence radiating icy authority.

Chapter 193
With every step he look, the ground behind him froze solid, turning to ice in his wake.
Every guard was scared out of their wits.
No one dared to block his path, not even with Krish’s orders. Atlas was just too terrifying.
The captain, decked out in his mech suit, nervously spoke up, his voice shaking, “Your Highness, please… don’t put us in a tough spot.”
Atlas’s voice was colder than death. “Move, or die.”
With a flick of his wrist, he snatched at the air, and in a heartbeat, the captain’s mech arm froze solid.
Atlas squeezed, and the supposedly indestructible mech arm shattered like brittle glass.
The guards thought, minds blown, ‘Holy crap! That’s a superpower.
“That’s just monstrous!”
Everyone knew Atlas was a powerhouse when he piloted a mech suit. His combat skills were legendary.
But now, even without a mech suit, he could take them out instantly. The sheer force he wielded was terrifying.
The crowd parted to let him through. Not a single soul dared block Atlas’s way.
A few minutes later, Atlas caught up with Krish, who was hiding in a corner, his face pale and panic-stricken.
Atlas sneered, “Krish, you really are pathetic.”
Krish managed a weak, fake smile, his voice shaky. “Atlas, you’ve got it all wrong. It’s just a misunderstanding. I did this all for you and Her Majesty. I was afraid it might…”
Atlas didn’t even let him finish. With a cold gesture, the mech suit button Krish was clutching suddenly burst apart in his hand.
Krish was left speechless, totally dumbstruck.
Atlas said again, his tone cold as ice, “Krish, you really are an idiot.”
Suddenly, Krish’s legs were blown apart by Atlas’s power.
Krish crumpled to the ground, and the people around him scrambled to his side in a panic.
Krish, surrounded by his guards, glared at Atlas, his eyes red with fury and humiliation. “How dare you do this to me!*
Atlas looked down at him, his voice cold as ice. “Count yourself lucky that Layla’s unharmed. If anything had happened to her, it wouldn’t just be your legs I’d blow apart.”
His head would be next.
Atlas turned and strode out, not even glancing back.
