Zoren.

I 35 your ars
This wasn’t just one of my childhood friends. This is also someone I knew was interested in Ciara in the past. Five years ago, he was the one who went against my wish and obtained her number, then invited her over to a club. My eyes were red with a deep rush of anger as I stalled forward and ripped them apart. Ciara gasped in shock right before she glanced up at me, her mouth hanging open and her face flushed.
“Oh, Zoren. You’re back.” She breathed out and annoyance flared in my chest, not just at her words, but because of how annoyed I feel by that sight. Why do I care so much? It shouldn’t have bothered me but it did. Was it because we’re fated
mates?
“Alex.” I gritted out as I faced my childhood friend. He was grinning and looking completely unfazed as he nudged my shoulder with his.
“How you been, man?” He drawled. “It’s been ages. And I see you and your step sister have finally crossed paths agzin after all these years.”
I cursed. Cause I had forgotten he was a part of the few people that knew we were once step siblings even though that was only for a little while.
“Excuse us for a moment.” I breathed out to Alex before dragging Ciara along with ne till we reached the other side of a large pillar, then I pushed her against it and placed s hand beside her head.
She blinked up at me, biting her bottom lip. My eyes dropped on it. Lust vibrated in my stomach. Fuck. I want to kiss her so badly.
“You’re angry.” She breathed quietly as she blinked slowly.
“What was that back there? Why were you all over him?” I breathed out my my nose flared.
“Oh, that? It’s been long since we saw each other and i remember him.” She responded and anger flared in my chest again. It was a stupid, childish reaction but I had no idea why I couldn’t stop myself from feeling that way even if I try.
“I don’t like it, yot being all over him. Haven’t we talked about this?” I asked as I reached for her chin. Her face flushed more as she tried to avert her
gaze.
“I…” she began but I cut her off.
“I told you I don’t like it.”
She let out a long exhale, face still pink.
“I’m sorry.”
I kept staring at her, completely unappeased by her words.
“Kiss me.” I ordered.
She jumped, her eyes widening as she glanced up at me.
“What? Out here?” She asked, her eyes darting around and I rolled my eyes just as my other hand settled on her waist, pulling her flushed against my chest and enjoying the way her sweetened scent filled up my nose.
“Of course. What about it?”
Her face colored even more. “But a lot of people are staring,” she pointed out like I gave two fucks.

“So?”
“they might… talk.” She muttered but I only rolled my eyes.
“Let them.” I paused. “Now, kiss me.”

Her cheeks were flushed as she clutched my shirt and got on her toes, then she kissed me gently. Feeling the desire flare in
my
chest, I chased after her lips after she pulled away, instantly deepening the kiss and holding her chin firmly. I didht stop until a throat cleared behind us.
Ciara stiffened against me and I held her firmly before she could jump away, and on turning around, my eyes settled on
Alex.
“Ah, I had no idea you were this familiar with your step sister, dude.”
I rolled my eyes at those words and I tugged Ciara against my chest, enjoying her tiny gasp.
“She’s my fated mate.”
Alex mouth fell open in utter shock.
“So you should keep your hands to yourself on moving forward. My wolf is quite… possessive.” I added and Alex still stood frozen in shock.
“The fuck? You really meant it, man? You finally found your fated mate?” He echoed after Ciara finally left and it was just the two of us left. I nodded, my eyes following Ciara’s retreating back. I want to not just accompany her but to push her against the nearest wall and fuck her there.
“Yeah, man. I was just as shocked.” I tell him as I finally tore my eyes from Ciara.
“Aw, man, that’s great news! Congratulations!” He clapped ms over the back then sobered up. “I guess that explained how man you looked when you saw us hugging. But to be fair, you’ve always looked that way back then all those years whenever we so much as look her way, even though you were always quick to remind us that she was your sister.”
I rolled my eyes cause he wasn’t wrong. Even while convinced I hated her back then, I hated my friends checking her out
even more.
“Can you stop referring to her as my step sister? It’s gonna sound weird to anyone who doesn’t understand the situation.” I breathed out after a bit and Alex cooperated instantly.
“I’m here with jetro, he’s waiting for you.” He revealed. Jetro is my warlock friend who I invited two days ago so he’d come check my son out.
“Really? Let’s head over then.”
After that, we hell into together, reminiscing about a lot of things as we walked side by side. I had no idea I even missed Alex this much until right now. Speaking with him reminded me so much of our time together when we were young and dumb, when we had no real life problems.
After meeting Jetro, we caught up a little and after offering him and Alex some refreshments, since Kai wasn’t home cause Evan and Jet took him in my stead to go play with some kids, I decided to have jetro check out Ciara instead. Something the doctor said had kept flashing through my mind, if she’s really human.
Jetro sat, a hand hovering over Ciara’s face. Ciara sat frozen, looking worried, her teeth digging into her bottom lip. I felt this urge to assure her all was well and that she had nothing to be afraid of, but those things were still unusual to me and still needs some strength to do. Since those words refused to leave my mouth, I took her hand in mind instead, then quickly looked away before her eyes caught mine, but h didn’t miss the shocked expression on her face and the slightest gasp that left her lips.

“you can start.” I said to jetro sho see staring at me like i had grown two heads. I didn’t blame him, cause after all I also never imagined that I’d ever be in this kind of situation.
When I looked over at Alex, he had an amused expression on, which I ignored.
Jetro finally started. His palm glowed brightly as he rested it against Ciara’s forehead.
“Close your eyes, please.”
Ciara glanced over at me and I nodded, loving the fact that looked over at me for assurance first, and the fact that she did just that she even squeezed my hand tightly, warned my heart immensely. No word was said, but this showed that she trusted me to protect her should anything happen. It pleaded me way more than it should, that’s certain.
As minutes passed, Jetro remained silent, his eyes also closed, until he suddenly swore and tugged his hand away like he just got scalded, his eyes wide with shock. Blood was dripping down Ciara’s nose when she also opened her eyes.
“What the…” he started but trailed off, panting.
“What’s wrong? What did you find?” I demanded just as I faced Ciara and cupped her face, my finger wiping away the blood.
“I’m not sure, but there’s something inside her.”
My face furrowed. Ciara looked worried and confused, her eyes filled with panic as she spoke.
“Something is in me? What?”
My hands tightened around her face and I shushed her without words. She has nothing to worry about cause I was here.
Alex walked up to jetro and handed him some water.
“What do you mean?” I asked, instantly starting to feel sorry in my chest.
“I felt something inside of her. There’s something blocking people out. It prevented me from fully delving into her insides. But that thing which I felt in there was…” he trailed off.
“Was what?”
“Large, intense. Powerful. It scalded me and if I had remained there a moment longer, my brain would have gotten fried.” He revealed and my eyes filled with shock as I looked back at Ciara who looked downright terrified right now.
“I- I don’t understand. What’s… inside me?” She whispered, her grip tightening even more on my wrist.
“I can’t say. I don’t know what it was. But one thing I’m fully sure of, is that… you’re not human,”
“What?” She cried out, her chest heaving and she began to cough. I patted her back while Alex brought her some water and I sent him a thankful look.
“So, you’re certain she’s not?” I asked and jetro nodded without hesitation. I feel relieved that some of the color has returned back to his face.
“Yes, a hundred percent. I haven’t felt anything like that before.” He sighed out as he sipped on his water. My heart pounded as I looked over at Ciara who was a white as a ghost.
So she wasn’t human after all. Her body shook as she looked up at me, seeming on the verge tears.
“Relax, okay? We’ll figure this out together, there’s no need to be frightened.” I assured her, holding her trembling body against mine. She clung to me tightly as she burrowed even closer to me.
“But… how can I not be human?” She whispered dejectedly.

But somehow, it made sense that she wasn’t human. If she was human, she’d have died birthing a werewolf, an S class one at that. My mother had died birthing me after all.
“Can you try again? To see if you’ll be able go get past that blockage?” I asked jetro as I faced him again he shook his head.
“That’s dangerous and also useless anyway. There’s a blockage keeping everyone out. It’s like it was placed there on purpose to prevent anyone from finding out what she really is. My guess is that’s the work of someone very powerful.” He reveled and my mind wandered, trying to figure out what all of this was about.
“Is your mother not human?” I asked Ciara who shook her head instantly.
“She is. We’re all human. I can’t believe there’s something I have no idea of inside of me.” She breathed out. “Can’t that be taken out? Whatever it is?”
I looked over at Jetro who slowly shook his head. Ciara let out a broken sound.
“But I know someone way stronger than me, maybe he’d be able to at least get past that barrier inside of you.” He breathed out and I heaved a relieved sigh while Ciara just remained slumped against me. I doubt she realized she was being this relaxed against me, else she might have tried pulling away.
“I’ll really appreciate that.”
Just then, the excited chatters of Kai and Jet suddenly filled the air and my eyes darted towards the door just as they knocked. As Alex went to get it, I cupped Ciara’s face and asked if she’d like to return to go rest in her room, but she declined.
“He’ll check out Kai too, right? I- I wanna be here when he reveals whenever he finds inside of him.” She responded.
