Substitute Wife, Genius CEO novel Chapter 207

Xavier was speechless.

Xavier said coldly, "Do I look like I'm in any condition to go?"

Summer raised an eyebrow. "You could sit in a wheelchair, or you could have the staff come here to provide on-site service. That shouldn't be hard for you, right?"

Xavier felt slightly uncomfortable. "Are you really in that much of a hurry?"

"You need to understand, the only reason I agreed to this is because I want to divorce you as soon as possible, cut ties, and have absolutely nothing to do with you anymore. Besides,"

Summer raised her eyebrows and smiled. "Just thinking about how I'm about to become a wealthy divorcee with no man to control me, free to do whatever I want. I heard it's popular lately to keep male models or sugar babies. I can go sponsor a few myself. Life is going to be so sweet. So, how could I not be in a hurry? I'm going crazy from the wait, okay?"

Xavier ground his back teeth. "Summer, we aren't divorced yet."

Summer smiled and shrugged. "Isn't it just a matter of time?"

Summer looked at Sebastian. "Sebastian, what do you think? Can I sign it?"

"You can." Sebastian handed her a pen. "Are you really going to keep male models? They aren't very clean, be careful of catching something."

Sebastian stared at Summer, his voice gentle. "Sugar babies are too young, just overgrown kids, reckless and unable to take care of you. You'd have to take care of them instead. It's exhausting."

Xavier's deep eyes clouded over, gloomy and chilling. They were both men; it was obvious what he meant.

Sebastian liked Summer!

Sebastian was practically spelling it out: keep me, I'm clean, I know how to take care of people.

But Summer didn't catch the nuance, thinking Sebastian was just caring for her. "Don't worry, Sebastian, I'll be careful."

Sebastian was silent.

Under Summer's strong demands, a dark-faced Xavier used his connections to get City Hall staff to provide on-site service.

After the staff arrived, they signed non-disclosure agreements.

In Xavier's ward, the two filled out the Divorce Application Form. There was a one-month cooling-off period, after which they could get their divorce certificates.

Summer frowned slightly, not wanting to wait anymore, only wanting the divorce immediately. She asked, "I'm already very cool-headed. Can we skip the cooling-off period and just get the divorce certificate now?"

She would only have peace of mind once she had the certificate.

The staff member shook their head. "No, ma'am. It's a regulation."

Summer instinctively looked at Xavier.

Summer's tone was a bit fierce, and her attitude wasn't exactly nice, vastly different from how she used to be.

Xavier said coldly, "My parents will be here soon. You can think about how to get them to forgive you."

Hearing this, Summer curled her lips into a smile. "That's easy. I'll just tell them I'm a month pregnant. As for the medical report or whatever, you handle that. Any problem?"

Summer put on the posture of a superior, as if giving him an order, but he had always been the one giving orders to others.

Xavier was speechless.

When Xavier didn't speak, Summer raised an eyebrow. "No way, the great CEO Sterling, the richest man in Empire City, can't handle such a trivial matter?"

Summer was practically explicitly calling him useless again.

Xavier gritted his teeth. "Fine."

Summer decided to add another layer of insurance for herself, after all, she had signed an agreement.

She had to help Xavier handle his parents, calm their anger, stop them from targeting and making things difficult for her, and even get them to agree to let the wedding proceed normally.

Based on past experience, to get forgiveness from the Sterlings, she had to proactively admit her mistakes and submit to degrading punishments.
