"Absolutely not regarding Leo," spoke Carlson Sterling, sitting in his wheelchair.
When Carlson found out Xavier was in a car crash, he fell ill from anger. He finally felt a bit better today and came to the hospital in a wheelchair.
Leo was personally trained by Carlson, who poured endless effort into him.
Given his advanced age, Leo was likely his final masterpiece.
Although he always felt that Leo wasn't as excellent or intelligent as Xavier's older brother, he was barely passable, so Carlson naturally couldn't bear to let him go.
Xavier said, "Mom, I won't ever be able to have children again. Are you sure you want me and Summer to divorce?"
The Sterlings all looked over simultaneously. "What does that mean?"
Summer's smiling voice echoed in every corner of the room like a demon's whisper.
"It means your son's lineage ends here. He's sterile. The child in my belly is the very last child of the Sterling family. Are you happy? Surprised? Thrilled? Still want that divorce? I can divorce him right now."
"Impossible!" Zelda glared fiercely at Summer, her gaze so fierce she looked ready to kill. "You bitch, you're sprouting nonsense! Wesley clearly said the surgery was successful!"

The ward door was pushed open, and Wesley walked in.
"She's not speaking nonsense."
Zelda's face rapidly paled. Her body swayed, and she slumped into Arthur's arms.
Arthur's face was equally grim. "Wesley, you're not joking, are you?"
Carlson gripped the armrests of his wheelchair tightly, the veins on the back of his withered hands bulging. "Wesley, this is a terrible joke. Don't scare an old man."
Wesley glanced at Xavier. Seeing Xavier nod, he took a deep breath and said, "It's true. The surgery was successful in reconnecting the nerves, but the reproductive function is gone forever."
"Summer!" Carlson yelled sharply to stop her. "Stop right there."
The moment Summer turned around, her eyes were already red. Her eyes were misty with water vapor, crystal tears hanging at the corners, about to fall. She looked like she had suffered the ultimate humiliation.
Wesley watched, utterly dumbfounded.
This acting was top-tier.
"Grandfather," the tears fell from the corners of her eyes, her voice choked with sobs. "It's not that I'm being willful, nor that I disrespect my elders. It's really that Zelda is going way too far."
Summer sniffled, looking entirely aggrieved. "I've been married to Xavier for seven years. I worked like a dog at the company and swallowed all my grievances at home. She looked down on my rural background and despised my lack of elegance. I never argued back, I only studied hard."
"Fashion, tea ceremonies, cooking, jewelry appraisal, socializing. Right now, which of these am I worse at than those high-society ladies? How have I ever disgraced the Sterling family? Yet Zelda constantly nitpicks and looks for trouble. She scolds me over nothing, her words harsh and vicious, and demanding harsh punishments is a daily routine."
"In winter, she forced me to stand stubbornly in the snow; in the rain, she forced me to stand in the pouring rain; in the heat of summer, she forced me to bake under the blazing sun; on pitch-black nights, she locked me in the ancestral hall. If it was neither cold nor hot, she made me stand barefoot on the gravel path. A while back, she even threw me, a perfectly sane person, into a mental asylum! The pain and humiliation she has inflicted on me are simply beyond words!"
