She pulled out her phone and dialed Xavier's number.

Summer shoved open the door to a private club room. Her face was a mask of dark fury, looking entirely ready to commit murder as she marched straight toward Xavier.

Xavier sat lounging on the sofa, his long legs crossed, watching her with absolute indifference. "Lily nearly miscarried because of you."

Summer kept smiling. She couldn't wait to see the look on his face the day that baby was born and the Sterling family dragged it in for a paternity test.

After all, the second Leo was born, the Sterling family had demanded one immediately.

Xavier stared at her. "Summer, you should never have touched Lily."

Summer took a deep breath, forcing herself to focus on why she was actually here. "Tell them to let me go. I won't do anything rash."

Xavier gave a subtle nod to his men. The bodyguards released her, and Summer sank into a chair. "Xavier, spit it out. What's it going to take for you to let my mother go?"

Xavier had no intention of releasing Maeve. Summer was no longer the docile, easy-to-manipulate woman she used to be.
