Miles shoved the bowl into Xavier's hands. “You feed her. She hasn't taken a single bite.”
As he spoke, he snatched his jacket off the sofa and strode toward the door.
“Where are you going?” Xavier asked.
Miles's face was dark, his aura so aggressively murderous that anyone else might have thought he was on his way to kill someone.
Miles ground his teeth. “To collect a debt.”
“Wait,” Xavier called out.
Miles frowned and looked back. “What? Feeling sorry for her?”
Xavier instinctively glanced at Lily. Seeing that she was still completely trapped in her own isolated world, he let out a breath of relief.
“Don't spout nonsense in front of her. I was just going to say, since you're collecting a debt, collect my share too. I need to stay by Lily's side right now, so I don't have time to do it myself.”
Miles finally relaxed his brow, though the cold malice in his eyes only deepened. “Don't worry. I'll make her pay it all back in spades!”
At that moment, neither of them noticed the supposedly severely depressed patient on the bed secretly curling her lips into a smirk.
Her usually hollow eyes were now brimming with sheer malice.

The Imperial Club.
Summer had officially returned to work at FutureTech Systems. Today, she was acting as Gavin Loomis's proxy to negotiate a partnership.
What she hadn't expected was to find Miles sitting inside the private room.
Summer immediately turned to leave, but the heavy door slammed shut in her face. Over twenty men in black suits stepped out of the shadows, tightly surrounding her with steel pipes in hand.
They clearly weren't here to talk.
Miles stubbed out his cigarette. “It's been a while, Ms. Vance.”
Summer's expression was icy. “What do you want?”
“What do I want?” Miles sneered. “I'm here to collect a debt, obviously. Are you going to beg for mercy, or should I have my men make you?”
Gillian immediately moved to shield Summer.
Miles looked at Summer with mocking disdain. “If you don't want her spending the rest of her life in a wheelchair, you'd better do exactly as I say. I'm running short on patience.”
Summer's eyes went cold. “You really do love Lily, don't you? You're willing to do anything for her.”
“She's my sister! She's the only sister I have! Because of you, her reputation is destroyed and her wedding is ruined! Her depression has relapsed, she refuses to eat or speak, and she's fading away to nothing!”
“Hearing all this, Summer, does it make you happy?!”
The more Miles spoke, the more agitated and unhinged he became. His hatred twisted his features as he gritted his teeth. “You ruined my sister's wedding, so now I'm going to ruin you!”
“And how do you plan to do that?”
Miles clapped his hands. A bodyguard stepped forward and handed him a glass of red wine. “Mr. Sutton.”
Miles took the glass and swirled it gently. “Summer, have you ever heard of giving someone a taste of their own medicine?”
