Substitute Wife, Genius CEO novel Chapter 366

Bennett wanted to take them all out for dinner.

Summer refused without hesitation. Miles and Leo had personally cooked for her, and there was no way she was skipping their meal.

Inside Summer's office.

Leo helped Miles set the dishes out one by one, then handed a fork to Summer.

Summer smiled, gently ruffling his hair. "Which dish did you make?"

Leo was incredibly observant. He had already mastered lip-reading, which was exactly how he knew Hunter had been cursing at him earlier.

When Lilith had questioned him, he purposely played dumb.

He knew better than to reveal his hidden cards, especially in front of his enemies.

Leo pointed to the tomato omelet. "I sliced the tomatoes and whisked the eggs myself. I made this whole dish. Miles was just my sous-chef."

Miles ladled a bowl of chicken soup for Summer, his face beaming with pride. "Our boy is brilliant. He learns everything fast, and he's got a real talent for cooking. I tasted it, and it's delicious. You have to try it."

Summer smiled and nodded. "Alright, let's all eat."

After the meal, Leo and Miles stayed behind. Bennett had told them to return to the house for dinner that evening.

They decided to wait until Summer finished work so they could all head to the Sutton residence together.

Ever since Leo's accident, Summer hadn't spent a single night at the Sutton house. Instead, she had moved out to live with Miles and Leo.

There was no way she was bringing Leo into a snake pit like that.

However, completely avoiding the place wasn't an option. There was still unfinished business with the Sutton family.

In the afternoon, Vivian West arrived at the office to discuss an issue with their collaborative project.

Miles was in the middle of preparing a fruit platter for Summer. The moment he saw Vivian, his paring knife slipped, slicing a deep gash across his finger. Blood welled up instantly, staining the sliced fruit.

Miles stared down at it for a second, then dumped the ruined fruit into the trash. Without a word, he walked over to the sink to wash the blood away.

Leo handed him a bandage. "Miles, are you okay?"

A flash of sorrow and pain crossed Miles's eyes before he offered a strained smile. "I'm fine."

He bandaged his finger, prepared a fresh plate of fruit, and brought it over to the table.

Summer and Vivian were deep in discussion. Summer glanced up and noticed that Miles's eyes were fixed entirely on Vivian.

But Vivian acted as if he didn't exist, her gaze locked firmly on the documents in her hands.

Truthfully, as a brother, Miles was flawless.

He treated Summer and Leo better than anyone could ask for.

But that didn't erase what he had done to Xenia Young. The cruelty he had inflicted on her was unforgivable.

They had once been deeply in love, yet he had ruthlessly stood by while someone stole her patent. Worse, he had helped the very person who ruined her frame her, sending Xenia into a brutal prison system.

Everyone knew that going to prison ruined a person's life forever.

If fate hadn't shown her mercy by letting her cross paths with Julian Vane behind bars, she would likely still be rotting in that dark place, living a hopeless existence like a walking corpse.

Even though she was free now, and serving as the CEO of SN Global's APAC division, she could never be Xenia Young again. She was Vivian West.

She had been forced to change her name and identity for the rest of her life.

Summer knew Vivian hadn't just returned for work; she had returned for revenge.
