Substitute Wife, Genius CEO novel Chapter 426

Everyone raised their glasses. "To the Bug King!"

Summer played along, raising her own glass with a smile.

Silas smoothly swapped her cocktail for a glass of orange juice.

No one made a fuss about it or pressured her to drink alcohol, which made her feel incredibly at ease.

Heath then announced his upcoming television series, boasting that with him as the lead, it was guaranteed to be a massive hit. He immediately started pitching for investments, claiming they should all cash in together.

Silas shot him down without hesitation. "You just want to buy your way onto the set again."

Heath clicked his tongue. "It's only buying your way in if you don't have talent. I'm offering you guys a goldmine. Invest with me, and you're guaranteed a massive return."

He turned his charismatic gaze to Summer. "Summer, invest in me. I promise I'll make you rich."

She chuckled. "Alright."

Heath gave her a playful wink. "See? Summer has excellent taste."

Silas gritted his teeth. "Behave yourself. Stop flirting."

Ignoring him completely, Heath shot Summer another exaggerated wink.

Harvey mentioned his upcoming research trip to the desert and asked if anyone wanted souvenirs. "How about an hourglass made from the pure, natural sand deep in the dunes?"

Heath replied, "Only if you make it by hand."

Harvey fired back, "Then I'll just bag up some fresh, unpolluted desert air for you. I'll even seal the bag myself."

Heath shook his head. "Never mind. Just bring me back a wild camel for a pet."

Harvey sighed. "Forget it. Pretend I don't know you."

Harvey then looked at Summer. "What would you like, Summer?"

Surprised to be included, she smiled warmly. "I'd love the hourglass."

Silas chimed in, "Bring me back some desert rose crystals."

"I'll try," Harvey said. After all, it was a work trip, not a vacation.

Heath looked offended. "You're playing favorites."

Harvey simply nodded. "Yep."

Annoyed, Heath snatched Harvey's glass and poured the liquor into his own. "You don't get to drink my alcohol, then."
